So having hit Vader in the chest several times with the butt of hs saber one might ask why he didn't just use the sharp end?
Because Jedi.

And at that point he was still thinking about the whole failing his brother/ anakin is my friend etc.

It is if none of knew that Vader would be surviving in the 1970's even.

For the same reason Vader buried him with rocks instead of killing him?

it did take away from the fight a bit knowing both would be fine.

Then surely don't let him get close enough to miss an obvious kill shot

As we've seen, plot armour effectively makes the pointy end only slightly more hurty than the blunt end.

Just another example why prequels are often a waste of time. No jeopardy involved at all.

Oh cool a lightsaber fight…hmm I wonder how they’re going to make it so they both survive?

Oh Luke has fallen down and the bad lady has her saber out…I wonder what’s going to happen next?

And I’m sorry but I can forgive the first time not polishing off Anakin as he probably assumed he wasn’t surviving having no legs and lying in burning lava…but this time?! I know they had to blah blah but then they shouldn’t have had this sort of fight in the prequel.

also, we know vaders armour is not light sabre proof because of what happened to the helmet, so surely the blow to his back should have cut him in half?

Good stuff that plot armour

Also predictable!

Good lightsaber fight but the whole plot was weak.
They should have written a better story.

Vader was the only thing they got right.

This is the worst star wars series so far.

Whoever said it was better than Mandalorian above needs to have a rethink.
Mando made grown men cry and jizz themselves at the same time.
The majority of things were done brilliantly in that from soundtrack to story to characters.

Apart from Vader there was nothing memorable in this.

Obi one doesn't learn his lesson again and allows Anikin to live once more.
To be fair to Obi Wan, he couldn't kill him, because he's in episodes 4-6 :P

But Obi Wan did finally realise that Anakin is dead and only exists now as Darth Vader.

I enjoyed it, but as mentioned by others - a fair bit of that was shot in the dark, which didn’t help particularly. The light sabre duel looked good with that lighting set up, but everything else was hard to follow.

Same with the Grand Inquisitor. These lightsabres don't seem to be very effective.

I'm with you on that. Was watching it this morning and most of the time the glare on the screen was making it hard to see exactly what was going on.

Also, why did they always seem to whisper?

Did have a chuckle to myself at times knowing that whatever tight spot a lead character was in they would get out of it as they featured in A New Hope.

Anyway, quite enjoyed it overall.

I enjoyed it, more background, more explanation

i'd like to see more of what happened between 3-4, i'd also like to see non cartoon clone wars and what happened after 6 as the empire was moped up

is there any other desert worlds in the galaxy?

That was ridiculous. Stormtroopers continue to die immediately when hit a blow with a lightsaber. Anyone important can be run through from front to back and...not die. At all. Despite presumably having a gaping hole through their middle.

Another example (1 of many in this show) of the makers insulting viewers' intelligence.

I have issues with how the fight scenes were shot and also the constant shaky cam vibe.

It works on the Bourne films, but not here. It came across as a student fan film, but with a higher budget.
