Actors that should have made it big

I think Ricky Gervais is a very good actor. The scene near the end of the Extras Xmas Special where he's in the Big Brother House and it's dawned on him what a he's turned into, was brilliantly done.

And Thora Hird. He performance in Alan Bennet's Waiting For The Telegram was as good as anything Hollywood's finest actresses have ever turned out.

David Neilson

He's played Roy Cropper in Coronation Street for years but his acting is way above normal soap opera standard. You could picture him playing anything from Malvolio to King Lear.
