Games are much more involving, a completely different experience.
I’mold lucky enough having played Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Tomb Raider, Street Fighter, Max Payne and (recently) Uncharted series.
Yeah it is a different feeling. im a bit torn whether to continue watching the tv show or dig out my old ps4 copy first, which I never got past the first 20 mins of, for reasons I forget. I’m

The first game for me is all about the characters and story (this is why this why this was always going to be TV gold). It has aged a bit now in terms of gameplay as it was PS3 that's nearly few console generations ago but it was solid for back then.
Absolutely loved the opening of episode 2 yesterday in Indonesia even better than last week with the back story.

I've enjoyed the changes made from the game, they add up well for me & especially like the exposition of mycelium networks connecting the infected. One quibble from ep 2 for me - I don't think the Ibu Ratna thing would have gone down the way it did IRL - I appreciate you've discovered a deadly fungal infection for which there is no possible cure, so bomb everything & can I go home now, please?

I think it was pretty shocking but cool input to the story as that was the only way to stop the spread was to destroy the epicentre. If there is no cure and she is the expert in this what else could they do? Damage limitation before it spreads. Assume the line about going home was again the fact that she knew she didn't have much time with her loved ones because it was all over for them either wayjgrewal said:

Yep, Without spoiling things, you'd think the general or whoever the guy with all the medal ribbons was would react with - er no this is big, we're going to have a meeting or two & work this out, so no, you can't go home just yet, soz. Like I say, a quibble.Edited by President Merkin on Tuesday 24th January 11:22
A common theme for these post zombie apocalypse type series / scenarios seems to be that no matter how decimated humanity is and how few survivors there are, the oppressive regime that takes control always seems to shoot / kill / execute any of the few remaining survivors for the most mundaine of reasons.

Yeah always seemed a bit short sighted to me, given theres usually only 0.01% of humanity remaining, so some tiny amount.
But hey ho
If it was a lovely little community, there'd be no story most of the time, or they would just get scavenged by a jealous group. But hey ho
It would all be a bit Lord of the Flies.

I appreciate its for the purposes of the story. It just feels like in reality it would be a bit short sighted in terms of rebuilding humanity.

Remembering the Covid fines for eating lunch outside, sitting on grass, or using a park bench, it does not seem that far fetched. Loving the series so far. I played the first TLOU, and really enjoyed it but was soon distracted. Wifey on the other hand was hooked and played through part 1 and 2, multiple times. Now I have to deal with her pausing the TV show and shout.... "that's a scene" or "that dialogue is in the game". I might have to watch the other episodes late at night on my own.
I wonder how long before Season 2 is confirmed.
Enjoying this so far. Not usually a fan of zombie stuff but this seems well put together. Tempted to give TLOU Part 1 a go on the PS5 - I believe a remake of the original.
Small detail I noticed was the 1st AD sticker on the back of the pickup in E1. Funnily enough I was watching some interesting videos, reading about the Gulf War and the insane tank battles.
