And also not cheap. I noticed in the latest episode a coupe of locos with price tags of £170-odd!
I noticed that too. I guess some will appreciate in value? (I think the limited edition ones most certainly will) The super limited edition one they mentioned last series where one shop only got one to sell probably sells for several times it's launch price now.
Given what we're saying about aging enthusiasts, I wonder how much monetary appreciation potential there is.

Hornby do a cheaper 'Railroad' offering which is aimed at children and are often the engines from 30 or 40 years ago, fewer parts to break off and generally more robust. The locos at £200 will be the ones with digital control, smoke generators and sound-cards etc.

Yes, I fast-forwarded past the team-building bit, not interested in that part.
Three women watching two men fall into the sea in the pouring rain didn't appear to engender much team spirit, TBH.
Unless I mistaken, wasn't that bit about 1 minute of the show?

They got rained off, but then they went back for another go later on. I can't say how long either bit was, not much in the scheme of things. I guess they want to expand from just covering the models and get some of the rest of the workplace shown.

No doubt that one will rise in value? It's a lot of money. Thankfully I'm not into the hobby!

Those Pocher models are pretty damn good. Pretty damn expensive too.
Waterman and Co's layout in the church was interesting too, maybe they didn't show enough of it.

They are at Chester Cathedral again this year as well

Was good to see Pocher, I had not realised they were owned by Hornby until recently.

Do Pocher really only have one car and one bike available at a time?

That piece really underplays what Pete Waterman and team are doing. Making Tracks 2 was 64 feet long. Making Tracks 3 is going to be 150 feet long and will include a station for the first time - Milton Keynes. The station section alone is 32 feet long. The general public will be able to operate trains themselves using tablets. It's going to be a fantastic layout.

Oh, that's good news. I've missed both of the previous ones, last year only by a couple of days. Interesting hashtag on that screen shot, though.

Didn't they say for the purple train the guy spent two years designing it and would do 1,500 units. I'm surprised they brake even.

They made 2,500, and all they did was repaint an existing model.
