Yep, Freeview on the Yesterday TV Channel. It will probably be repeated again tonight though, or as mentioned you can stream it on UKTV Play.

I liked the Lotus 72 & the Ducati Panigale caught my eye too.

Pete Waterman & co's layout was spectacular!!

Did you notice how easily the front panels slipped off the lotus though? Didn’t look like they clipped in anyway just laid onto the tub.

One thing that annoys me is when that Simon says we press the button and go into production, they never mention where the prototype or the production models are made, is that because everything is shipped out to China or India and they want to keep that part out of their hour long advertisement?

I see the woman with the circular track is back again next week.

I would sooner see Simon George’s impressive junction lay out than what she will have to offer again, last one she did with the upside track was hideous, takes all sorts to make the world turn I guess.

I didn't spot that.

I wondered that too. They have a huge site, but I don't think they make anything there. They must make things in China or somewhere else.

I loved Monday's episode! I thought the plane was great! I don't even like planes or anything on the show really, I just watch it to see what they get up to.

They used to make everything in Margate hence the cavernous and fairly empty factory type building you see shots of occasionally but all production has been in China for many years

Didn't they start filling the back of the factory up with actual full-size locos with the intention of opening a museum in the first series, or am I merging this with an episode of "Train Truckers"?

No, this programme and sure they said they would be opening a museum at some point

Think they would not have survived if production had stayed in the UK

It was interesting to see the model of the Liverpool & Manchester Railway Lion. I chuckled when Simon said it would be good to have smoke in the Rocket but the designed chap said it wouldn't be possible. I had a Triang Rocket back in 1967 and it had a smoke generator in the chimney. I don't know how it works these days but 55 years ago you put oil down the funnel which soaked a fibreglass wool pad and an element heated up and the smouldering oil caused the smoke! The probably wouldn't pass Elf & Safety these days. hehe

That will be these people: http://www.theonetoonecollection.co.uk/

Apparently they bought the building off Hornby, formerly their warehouse and factory. Although like you I seem to remember in the first season it being made out to sound like a Hornby business venture. It appears The Locomotive Storage Company is not related to Hornby except for the fact they own the building next door and apparently the building Hornby currently operate from:

Another hour of light entertainment last night.
The 9F brought back memories of train spotting in the late 60's with the occasional dirty black 9F rumbling through amongst the more common J72s
Can't imagine the Mr Bean car would sell that well or drive that well either.

The train looked superb, especially the glowing boiler.

Not sure why they thought the Mr Bean mini would ever drive well

I thought the Mr Bean Mini was hilarious! They should have done a light blue Reliant van to go with it as a set as one often popped up in a few episodes. It would be easy for them to model as they already had the Only Fools & Horses one.

Just watched this last night, new 9F looked good. But I wish the voiceover would stop calling it a train, It's a loco, or possibly an engine. It's not a train.

Amen. You'd think Simon would get a preview of each show and he could have corrected them.

Yes, getting the right balance for the voice over is so important, need to be entertaining whilst not being patronising. Calling a loco a train is simply wrong.

Talking of which, have they changed the voiceover lady from S1 to S2? This one sounds slightly less "Northern"

From IMDB: Series 1 was narrated by Gaynor Faye who is from Leeds, Series 2 is narrated by Gaynor Faye who is from Liverpool
