Hmmm…it’s parenting lessons for Aussie dads, and made to look easy for a dad who doesn’t seem to work and lives in nice house with big garden.
He's an archeologist.

I've been desperately trying to get the daughter to watch this! But she seems intent on watching Cocomelon, or Blippi...

The Blueys that I have seen have been beautifully put together, and lovely music as well.
My son seems to be into Youtube too much, its my fault, I searched for diggers, cars etc on Youtube to shut him up and now he's being served recommended videos with some home made video of a bloke unpacking boxes with said toys in (and raking in millions of hits it appears).

Dads do have control issues with TV/Media now days!

I have got him into some updated post Corbett 1990's Sooty show now much to my delight biggrin
Agree, my YouTube suggestions are a mess these days hehe

Why do they watch videos of kids unboxing toys? Madness.

Anyway, there's a good thread on Reddit of lots of suggested episodes which was worth working through. It seems quite a few adults, without kids also watch it.. I mean it's probably better than most of the Love Island junk.

Just watched pass the parcel. Very funny. I didn't know that PTP was different these days.

You have my sympathy - that bloke is fking annoying. Like an American Timmy Mallett on crack!! My son thinks it great, but isn’t interested in Bluey (which is excellent) banghead

Yep. I can cope with Cocomelon. But Blippi is terrible.

I like Pavlova episode and Tina!

Great show and I’ll quite happily watch it when the little one wanders off to do something else.

That's the same as my YouTube home page!
She loves to watch those type of videos.

It's amazing how many hits they get

I've been trying to get mine in to original Thomas the tank engine, and Tom and Jerry!

He is very annoying indeed! And the songs get stuck in your head for days! Infact, I've got the excavator song in my head now!

I managed to depress my self one day, by finding out how much he's worth!

I didn't realise that the person who does 'Blippi' changed too, wasn't that easy to tell at first. I'd imagine the original Blippi probably just earns the cash whilst the other guy gets paid a bit for doing the hard work now.

Side note; I also didn't realise Bluey was a girl.

There's also talk that Bingo is autistic, and I can see that at times too.

Ah yes, they did change him, I'm not sure which variant is more annoying though! I think Blippi V2 does more of his live shows as well.

My 5 year old daughter loves Bluey. She made me howl with laughter a few weeks ago when her reply to me asking her something was "just drive the train, mate".
After I'd got it together I asked her who had said that and she showed me the episode when her dad is being a train around the house.
Whatever I asked her, she used it in the perfect context. laugh

I'll ask her to show me the Sleepytime episode now...

Bluey is great, but it sets high parenting expectations - being a perfect dad playing new and fun games with the kids all the time!

Yeah, if you ever want to make a shed load of cash get into YouTube vids aimed at kids, they will watch any old rubbish over and over again - they have millions of views. My daughter was obsessed for a while with videos of kids playing with Barbie dolls (Come Play With Me), it's quite well done compared to some (spoilt kids opening toys etc), but still utter rubbish.

Re. Sooty - the later ones are great and really good fun

I was always impressed with Amelia and Avelina, a Netherland's family. That was well done and better than the US shows.
Although she's now moved onto Ninja Kids and Fun Squad. So I get a lot of requests to sit on the "couch" to eat "candy" now...

My grandson went through a brief phase of “going to the dunny”.

Bluey is wonderful and it’s great to have a programme that’s genuinely entertaining for parent and toddler alike. There are a few standout episodes such as sleepy time and the fruitbat one as well. It’s beautifully drawn and animated as well. The silent rain episode is one of my favourites too.
