Coming from Nick Love, who has such a great background in retro 80's stuff (The Business as a prime example) this was always going to be good and for me, it didn't disappoint.
Spotted Nick Love's name in the credits and it looks like he's dusted off the entire wardrobe from The Business, a film I watch on a regular basis, loving the music and the clothes, I might be digging out the Fila BJ from the back of the wardrobe. 80's Casual Classics have a 'Town called Malice' sale on at the moment! https://www.80scasualclassics.co.uk/sale/a-town-ca...

Finished it last night. I know the reviews have been of the solid three star variety, but I thought it was brilliant, really enjoyed it.
I really hope it will be given a second season.

We're really enjoying it. I think you have to be of a "certain age" to appreciate the music, the cars and the dress sense. Outside of that narrow band it must seem a bit odd.
After all the trailer hype …..my era….love of gangster films/series, I sat down to watch this in eager anticipation.
I got as far as 20 minutes into E2.
I found the weak acting and the formulaic story line just too much to hold my attention - i think I will go and watch reruns of Sopranos, Boardwalk, Ray Donovan, Billions and Deadwood instead.

Touche - but I would put a fiver on guessing how it plays out.Finished it during the week there. One of the later episodes (4 or 5?) was a bit week and almost put us off watching on but the season ended well. Looks well set up for another series.
I think not only is it set in the 80s but they're replicating that 80s acting style too. Really loved it. Something different.
