Didn't realise there was a thread on this, but we quite enjoyed it, and took it as a drama, not a documentary as many here seem to.
Exactly. Wifey is constantly berating me for grumbling when the wrong car is used in a period drama. Shoe was on the other foot with this as she referenced all of the procedural inaccuracies. However, we both really enjoyed it for the drama that it is! Just finished watching this last night. It was good, not Happy Valley good, but still enjoyable.
But, the continuity of shots between the outside of cars and the inside did grate after a while. It seem the only car that had for interior shots was a Skoda, regardless of what the external shot was.
ETA: there is also surely going to be a second series where PC’s Ellis and Neil become more than crew partners

Looks as though there is going to be a 2nd series.

My only concern is that having agreed to this there is no incentive to maintain the quality of the 1st series.Ronstein said:
Finished this last night and it was brilliant (again). Two more series already commissioned! The writers create fully fleshed out characters, which is becoming increasingly rare in modern dramas. Best thing on TV by a mile at the moment.
If this is the case (two more series), really disappointed that the story arc of Lee was not extended into the next season. All a bit ‘curtailed’, when his rise to the top and likely downfall would have been a great watch. Gassing Station | TV, Film, Video Streaming & Radio | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
