So will he then pay the highways bill directly? I'm still uneasy about these cars not ending up on any registers to show they've been in an accident - especially when even he said it would likely be a Cat B.
He just bought a whole Wraith for parts. The highways bill may be large to most of us, but is likely to be less than a replacement Mansory alloy wheel Petrus1983 said:

Don't forget Matt can only do this because his main income comes from YouTube. These cars aren't viable to be put back on the road profitably - he only shows you the parts costs in his calculations, the man hours and facilities will push him well into the red.As for insurance, the Rashford car is a rare exception AIUI, but aren't all the other owners required to tell their insurers the car has been in a crash, whether or not they claim?
Now nobody wants to crash their motor but when you are a motoring YouTuber, then you are probably one of the only folk in the world that will be able to fix it and make some money on top.
Plus, YouTuber crashing a Lambo is the kind of publicity you just cant buy, people are drawn to folk crashing supercars, even if its just to comment on talent running out, but in most cases we never find out as they only ever have a Kia or something so driving a massive power RWD Lambo on pretty much slicks in the rain wont happen to them.
basically, what I am saying is that this will, I expect end up with more subs and revenue, more publicity and his channel growing, the old phrase "Falling in st and comes up smelling of roses springs to mind"
Good luck to him, love the content and look forward to seeing what gets done with the Lambo, sorry it happened as if you celebrate a decent blokes misfortune then there is no hope for you, everyone can have a crash, although it is a bit more likely if you are a driving a motorised psychopath on slicks in the rain, he even joked about it. Main thing is nobody was hurt.

Matt is obviously smart and hard working and has pretty much populorised the UK rebuild genre, he's already up to a £600k Rolls, I wonder where it goes in 12 monthsMaybe as others has already suggested this is a good oppotunity to modify (jack up / 4WD) to see if this the the next stage in his journey; modifying premium cars.
I only say this as surely the current format of fixing has a finite life.

Maybe a future build should be something capable of all conditions. Thinking off road or rally car inspired!
Hmm… a Gallardo Sterrato would be an epic build!Doofus said:

If real that looks cheap, tacky and horrible, not a chance in hell is Mat going to build a Gallardo Sterrato, my money would be on a widebody kit as the next step.
It is real. I said it was real. And, TBF, Mat specialises in tacky. From what we've seen so far - tacky is what he's especially good at.
It's part of his appeal

Good luck to him, I thought the M5 was too much to rebuild! Let alone the 430 and RS6 and everything else.I did wonder what after the Rolls as well.
At least he drives his cars in all weathers and they’re not just ornaments in warm garages.
Living most PH’ers dreams you’d say.

Who TF went to that effort and then went for a photo shoot with stock wheels and road tyres? It could be done really well IMO with enough thought....
