The Met on BBC1

Interesting, very watchable, but I found it rather depressing.

The entitled hipsters telling the cops how they should have responded to a bloke with a knife was a good insight for viewers of the nonsense cops have to put up with most days.

Just fk off you pair of tts.

Do you really blame members of the public for being wary of the police?

Yes, I blame them for inserting themselves into a situation that they knew nothing about and didn't have any involvement in.

That happens because the public don’t trust the police, especially the Met, who have given the public plenty of reasons not to trust them as I’ve just illustrated.

I wonder if they wait in Drs surgery or schools and tell them how to do their jobs as well? Plenty of them get struck off and abuse their positions, same with lots of other occupations. I bet they dont.

There was absolutely no reason for them to get involved, none what so ever. He was detained for a search based on a call saying he had a knife, he was searched and released.

No arrest, nothing, yet Hugo and Ezmie had to get themselves involved and say they shouldn't have grabbed hold of him. I'd imagine that pair of darlings wouldn't have the first clue about how much damage someone with a knife can cause or safe control and restraint techniques but there they are telling everyone how wrong it was.

Medics and teachers enjoy a higher degree of public confidence than police officers.

Where do you draw the line, is it acceptable to pull over and watch a traffic stop and offer an opinion on what the officers are doing? Of course it's not, just the same with this.

I get use of force can look bad and all happily justify mine all day long but what I don't want or need is people like that pair inserting themselves into situations they have no business being involved in.

They won't listen, they didn't appear to take onboard any of the points the officers made, they didn't listen to anything, it was just wrong 'because police' and no amount of explanation will change their minds. They're best being ignored, get back in your car and leave them to it.

It was such an absolute non event, they're just showing their absolute ignorance to the situation.

I agree, they should have kept away and minded their own business.
But we are where we are and the fact is that the Met’s actions over the past thirty years have eroded confidence in the police so much that people like that feel that they have to get involved

Do they really have to get involved though?

I'd say absolutely not.

Can’t believe the stupidity of the mum and son gang. Absolute scumbags!

Next week is an interesting case - a good friend of mine is involved in this one.

The mum got a minimum 23 years, but the person who actually did the stabbing got a minimum of 20 years?

Where do you work and what do you do? I'll pop up tomorrow and tell you how I think you should be doing your job, despite knowing nothing about it and see how well it goes down.

Don't work, don't need to, even when I did it was private sector honey and I was not authorised to use force on behalf of the state. Even if I did I can't imagine my arrogance over the importance of what I need or want in providing a public service would extend to your levels.

Honey? fk off.

You're clueless and your agenda is obvious, in every police related thread you beat into submission with your ignorance.

Yes. I touched on it earlier when I mentioned the part where they played the tape of the previous 999 call she made. It clearly showed it was premeditated and initiated by her.

Just ignore any contribution from Pork 911. Don’t engage. It doesn’t matter what you say, you won’t get a sensible conversation such is their blinkered agenda. Many a thread go downhill if you feed it.
