I also enjoyed it, nice not to have 'the message' thrown down my throat at every opportunity and it's just a proper brain out action flick, I think some might be taking it a little too seriously

Just watched it and also fair enjoyed it but they could have trimmed it down a bit. It's a brain out action film FFS, keep it short and sweet as that's all it needs to be.

Everyone going on about McGregor's walk, what about his accent ? That was the worst Irish accent I've ever heard and yet the bloke is Irish rofl

also just finished watching it. I wanted to hate it but, despite myself, was quite entertained. Mcgregor is quite a big lad but on the basis of this I really can't see him breaking out the same way as Dave Bautista or The Rock have. Jake G was in seriously good shape for this eek As an aside, WTF fk was going on with the comedy caveman walk?

I've just watched it, I'm a little biased as I am a Conor fan, I was at his stout brewery a few weeks ago for a private tour.

Anyway overall I enjoyed it, at no point did I think I'm gonna turn this off, even without Conor in it, and somebody else playing Knox (Dave Bautista for example) I would of watched it. I've not seen the original to compare it to.

Conor's accent, its obvious they have asked him to talk slower and clearer hence the dodgy accent. Dont know if its CGI etc but they have made him look super heavy in certain shots and then the next shot he looks slimmer again, his neck especially.

Would I watch it again? probably not, but I dont feel like I've wasted 2 hours of my life either.

On a side note, strange seeing JD Pardo playing the leader of a "biker" gang after he was the leader of The Mayans.

Tbf he’s always had a stupid walk, his fighting style reflected this stance, accentuated for the film though..

not a chance he’ll break into rock, arny, stalone territory, nothing like good enough genetics for the big screen, the gear he has done to get to just a mediocre size shows how limiting his genetics are (very ectomorph)

Good lightweight wirey genetics for lightweight fighting, rarely sizes up well, can do but you need the right shape & he doesnt possess that shape. (I judged BB for a few years after competing)

OK movie, could have been better. As a screen villain I thought CM was quite good. Comic-book bad guys have been a lot worse.

He has barely touched gear, if at all. Doesn't display any of the typical growth receptor site activation. Muscle growth through AS use isn't particularly limited by genetics, more by amount of anabolics used and training/diet protocols. More to the point the type of anabolics a fighter would use, because of the demands of the sport, are likely to limit growth, more than body type.

Look at his face, its very clear, easy to see from years of watching them and the speed in which he bulked over the last 1-2 years, added 20-30lbs of lean muscle whilst his leg repired? Not tested by nada for long periods? Uh huh hehe
its quite well known he’s been using.

Oh well if rumour and innuendo say that then it must be true.

I'm curious, what indication does his face give that he's used AS?

He also pretty much admitted it smile

Cartilage growth in his nose, jaw bone growth, you’d have to be pretty ignorant or a bit thick to think otherwise tbh

But I’ll leave you to your own opinion beer

To be fair, i suspect both Connor and Jake both used a little pharmaceutical help to prepare for the film.

The Rock has been pumping gear for years never a mention of that, I'm in no doubt Conor has dabbled a little bit while off for the leg recovery but hes been back in the NADA programme for a while now.

They all have, widely known, never said they werent, i just commented on conors poor genetics, that was all.

Even though hes back in nada, hes not in the ‘pool of people’ for testing and hasnt been tested, mainly because hes actually told them hes using gear for the leg repairs, so little point in testing him and giving him a failed test, theyre waiting till the right time once hes not been using long enough.

im sure we’ll all see a slightly different mcgregor if and when they decide he should be in the testing pool wink

Either way, he has crap genetics, no matter what gear he does, it’ll never overcome that.

Acromelagy comes from chronic GH use, not steroids, and takes years. Certainly not in the time it takes a leg injury to heal.

Charming.
I'll believe 70 passed drug tests and scientific fact over spurious gossip.

Unlikely. CM won't have needed any help and JG shows no signs of steroid use at all.

he also admitted using to nada and hadn’t been tested for nearly 2 years, only just being tested now..

Why do you think either needed 'help' for the role? CM was already in shape-ish and JG had been in training over a year and doesn't have particularly low BF. What evidence do you think you see that either used steroids?

'Gear' is steroids. GH is GH. 18 months? Very unlikely. Haven't seen it in 35 years training.... .
