Only on PH could a discussion about a film turn into an argument about PEDs and whether the film star is juicing or not.
It's not only PH. The internet is awash with gossip and it fuels places like formerly-Twitter sewer and TikTok. Facts are no longer important, it's the weight of inane jibber-jabber that rules.popeyewhite said:

The point is honesty, if you chose to…dont be ashamed of your decision, be open and let others know.
Well that's simple - they aren't honest because the majority of average movie goers have zero idea about this stuff and if they heard their fave actor used drugs they would look at it negatively. The alternative is the actor/movie studio lies and gets to make a few promotional articles about the training regime used which further boost the box office. The react is, all of this stuff is actually quite simple. Both why they use stuff in the first place and why they do not discuss it.

Dont think there has been an argument tbh just a typical juicer mentality who seems obsessed by gossip for some reason, making claims contrary to the bleedin obvious! Edited by Kerniki on Monday 1st April 15:59

Lawks - neither actor has failed a drugs test. Don't succumb to internet gossip and conjecture both the actors under discussion could have got in the shape they are without taking drugs. Money and self-discipline Gets more like Mumsnet by the minute this place.
They could have. But why would they? That’s like saying it can be done without protein powder…. Why not use a cheap simple very effective tool in the box. The question is never did they….. It’s why on earth wouldn’t they? What to say about this. I'm mean it's st. Most notably it's missing a fking plot. I mean what the fk was it all about. McGregor was way better than I was expecting, but let's be clear my expectations were he would cake his pants. fking odd camera work.
There was some good humour though.
I have to say I'm no fan of JG but fk me he deserves some serious credit for that body. I'm the same age as him and all the Kings horses and all the Kings men and all the performance enhancing drugs in the world I will never get close to a body like that.
All in all I would give it a solid 3 out of 10. Bag of st

oh that looks beyond dreadful - I want to watch it!! I watched it. It was OK. I wouldn't bother watching it again. McG wasn't as bad as I'd heard - clearly he's no actor but his character was written rather one-dimensionally... actually, all characters were.
Can't help think Jake G needs a decent script - he is quite watchable in films where some effort has been made.
