Mr Bates vs The Post Office
Discussion
I love the way that time and time again they use phrases with a meaning only known to them, "clearly you meant this as that's what the phrase means?" "Oh no I meant that...".(that being something completely unrelated to the phrase used)
They are more than willing to appear uneducated and incompetent, happy to give the impression that they have little grasp of the English language in order to obfuscate their part in this debacle.

The documented complaint by Vennells that Crichton was more concerned about integrity and loyalty to her professional conduct requirements than the interests of the business speaks volumes about Vennells. https://www.postofficescandal.uk/post/the-bleating...

Are we going to see hours and hours of Vennells effectively going " no comment".
That's a good summary he distils it well, she was only willing to go so far before she could see it would ruin her reputation, clearly not a true believer and once the vipers realised she wasn't all in they moved to oust her.
But she sat back and said nothing for 10 years, allowing it to continue having regard only for herself, I note the post she vacated became a revolving door which is hardly surprising once the recruit realised what they had joined.

My reflection on what happened with SS as I write this today (2/9/13), is that Susan was possibly more loyal to her professional conduct requirements and put her integrity as a lawyer above the interests of the business. She did not communicate clearly what she was concerned about. If as she says she felt compromised (personally and for the business) by being asked to manage SS more closely, then her misjudgement was that she did not make that clearer to me on the two or three occasions that I asked her to do so.
Leaving aside all the tiresome moral, legal, and, indeed, Christian stuff, how can anybody be so stupid as to write that down?gareth_r said:
