Would quite like some of the "acts" to be dropped. Everything I've seen about Viper outside this is he's great and the volatile, getting penalties persona is a bit rubbish. Jury is out on Sabre too, sometimes she's excellent and others it feels forced.
I might be the only one who likes Brad and Barney although could see them putting in a female presenter.
Keen for more events, and to fix or drop Gauntlet. Atlaspheres and SkyTrak come to mind as more spectacular and I always quite liked Tilt.
I loved Assault on the US Gladiators when I was a kid.
They won’t bring back tilt. A lot of injuries on that. I was watching one last night and nightshade was removed on a stretcher from it.I might be the only one who likes Brad and Barney although could see them putting in a female presenter.

See a lot of people asking for Pyramid on socials etc. and that's never coming back either.

Ah balls, did not realize it had spawned that many injuries. I liked Pole Axe too but that also had a fair list of injuries too.

I thought pyramid would be one of the worst for injuries. See a lot of people asking for Pyramid on socials etc. and that's never coming back either.

Bring back the cheerleaders for some glam!
Perhaps from your laugh you might already know that they aren't there because of "woke" something or other. g4ry13 said:

In terms of games I miss, Pendulum and Pyramid were 2 of my favourites.
What was the name of the one with the tennis ball firing cannon? That was pretty full on I recall from the days of Ulriika and Fash.
Danger zone. Loved that game as a kid. Might be quite good if they brought it back and modernised it.What was the name of the one with the tennis ball firing cannon? That was pretty full on I recall from the days of Ulriika and Fash.

I've been watching the old episodes on YouTube, and am disappointed in how lame Danger Zone feels compared to my memories of it as a kid! Maybe it's cos it's less physical than the other events, but it just seems a bit silly watching it now.

Pendulum was quite a fun game.

Swingshot was a cool game they could bring back.
It's very apparent either the rules have changed for duel, or the Glads haven't gotten up to speed yet!
Equally, the differences in Gauntlet weren't as pronounced as I originally thought. It's about the same width, the difference is one extra Glad.
ITV started a repeat of the Ninja Warrior Race For Glory series from 2022 lastnight, the same 5pm slot as Gladiators. Instead of a single course there are 2 tracks side by side, and it had professional athletes the contestants had to race against. Hmmm, riding the coat tails there, ITV .

Bradley and Barney confirmed for season 2.
I think they’ve been decent at the role they are required to do. It’s aimed as family entertainment not a serious sports show. Personally I’d keep them doing the intros and links but to add another layer, perhaps an old gladiator or a professional athlete doing the post event chat, just to break it up. Imagine Wolf being there doing that to really link back to the original.
Overall, an enjoyable return. Glad they kept it retro.

But he is in his 70s, and lives in New Zealand.
Apparently his son auditioned to be a Gladiator too.
