The Yabushiga character was my absolute fav. I saw him as a pragmatist - perhaps a man ahead of his time who saw how the pursuit of honour often brings men down.

10, I believe therefore 2 to go.
Unusually, where it's obviously lined itself up for another season (or 10, as fecking usual with every sodding TV series now), I'm really hoping there is one, and soon.

Just finished this this now. What a visual feast. Final episode was absolutely beautiful and a perfect end to a wonderful adaptation.

I also finished this on the weekend. I rarely hold my attention long enough on TV/ films these days, especially when I have to concentrate on reading subtitles.

BUT, this was brilliant. I actually thought the Blackthorne actor and subsequently the character was by far the weakest in the show, all the others were excellent.

Mariko, Yahbushige and Toranaga were the standouts, the acting was so good. Japanese society was brutal, but also very honourable at the same time.

I think it'll probably a series that I'll return to in the future.
