I know this has been mentioned elsewhere but thought it deserved its own thread just so I can give it a shout out. I have one more episode to watch but I have been blown away by this series. I always thought that Lonesome Dove is the best Western series ever made, but this is close. It is an absolutely stunning show, from the cinematography, to the story, to the cast and the standard of acting. Sam Elliott is superb, his best performance ever, I think. The female leads are also superb, the daughter being stand out. There is a definite sense of realism and an insight into the toughness and resilience of the European pioneers who travelled west.

Agree 1883 is great, classic Taylor Sheridan directing, lots of beautiful vistas and storytelling. I didn't enjoy 1923 so much, in fact i cant even remember finishing it.
