Saw a QuckQuid one (I think) the other day.

Girl working in a bar/restaurant suddenly told she hasn't got the extra shifts/overtime she wanted at the weekend.

Oh Panic, What can I do - I'll call up for a loan.

Then she says "well you had better put me at the top of the list for next weeks shifts"

So what if she doesn't get them next week - another loan, another loan to pay off the first loan.
Heres a thought - live within your means or get another job.

The one selling lawyering - Gladstone Brookes. The bloke says 'you and I' when it should be 'you and me'. Object : subject. It isn't difficult.
I knew somebody on PH would have complained about that one!

It's right up there with that old "it's got a U in it" car hire ad.

I assume the target market for Travelodge is adults. So why make an advert that appears to be aimed at very young children (or adults with a kid's IQ)?

And the bloody B&Q ads with various animals purchasing crappy DIY stuff. shoot As for the annoying Admiral bint and her sycophantic sidekicks, well that succeeds as far as I'm concerned. Succeeds in stopping me from even considering them for my hard earned cash. Utterly moronic. furious

And, breathe......

Thing about the Admiral ad, it's apparently her first day on the job, so how does she know about the security guard's coffee preferences?

Her outfit is dreadful; if they'd consulted me I could probably have come up with better examples of women in naval uniform.

It may have been mentioned already on this thread, but i get riled any time an advert uses a meme that been doing the rounds on the internet for months/years. I then get riled when people unfamiliar with said meme think that the advert is hilarious.
I imagine that there is an advertising stmuncher desperately trying to come up with an idea as the deadline approaches, and resorts to surfing 4chan and going "the youngesters think thats funny - i'll base it on that".

Most recently im thinking of this recent Pedigree advert:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhdTPgxcSgI

According to knowyourmeme, "nom" became famous in 2007 with this specific picture (though the phrase originates from Sesame Street)

I really cannot stand those Sofology (Previously SofaWorks) adverts with the flying sofas, colour changes and random segments of unrelated crap in between. Ever since these adverts were released, they have felt like a rip-off of the Google Play adverts, even down to the music. The Google Play adverts used to have 'Busy P - Rainbow Man' as the choice of backing music. The Sofology one sounds quite similar, just worse.

Anyway, the adverts annoy me ... Probably because they remind me of their lazy marketing team!

Haven't looked too deeply into that one. I'm just thankful their format isn't like all the other sofa adverts, i.e. based around one long, never ending "SALE" with repetitive shots of unappealing synthetic leather corner suites.

That Halifax Top Cat ad I really don't understand. For one thing, Top Cat is unemployed, not to mention a fking cat!

The Sky ones for Fluid Viewing and broadband. They aren't the worst adverts ever made, but they are on so often, sometimes I'm sure we get both of those in one ad break.

mortgages advert featuring top cat. It's not an advert as much as it is "ah remember old cartoons!" thinly veiled nostalgia thing. Like Peter Kay's comedy, there's very little to it.

Natwest rewards, advert is doing my head in now, it takes 4 days for the money to transfer to your account, so how he can stand outside the shop and then spend the money?

Plus like you will be able to save enough to buy a moped, they are clever in that they only pay out on certain suppliers.

Probably like all the old iPhone "there's an app for that" adverts, that had "Sequences shortened" across the bottom in small print.
