As above Bank adverts I think its Nat West telling us we are what we are its just self indulgent crap. Years back I went with Nat West not because of their logo or whatever but simply because they offered wildlife cheque books cheques rather than the drab ones elsewhere.

yea he did say years back and also the year bit of the date has a pre-printed "19" to start it off so it probably is that old.

The Bernardos Advert annoys the crap out of me at the moment and it seems to be on all the time.
It's not the advert itself it's the absolutely horrendous version of Everybody wants to rule the world that does my head in.

That advert is rare - a car advert suggesting performance is fun.

I have developed an irrational hatred for the British Gas penguin. Smug little tt skating round the place in his duffel coat and scarf with a satchel on his back.
Grrrr yes.

The idiots are also running radio adverts with that damned thing on them. The noise it makes makes no sense unless you also have the misfortune to see the tv add.

Now, I can see having such a mascot would make sense if you were selling things to four year olds but gas and boilers?

Off the back of the "Christmas Channel" thread on here I noticed the first Christmas advert is now showing.

As expected it's Park advertising their savings scheme to pay instalments to cover the costs in advance of Christmas in 2017.

The John Lewis Christmas ad a couple of years go featured two penguins and was critically acclaimed so I guess they're trying a little bit of imitation here.

From memory that JL ad was subtle though and the penguin didn't have a poor voice actor AND it was wasn't also on the radio, I'm sure I'd have remembered it otherwise.

British Gas advertise heavily on the radio, like saturation bombing and hearing those stupid adverts every ten minutes, I think there are three of them with the grating penguin voiceover, is enough to drive you insane.

Talking of radio adverts, I mentioned it a while back but has anyone else latched onto those "Wheels for sure" ads?

"For sure"
"For sure"
"For sure"
"Can we have the car then"

The company more than any other is probably more responsible for white audi A1 diesels on council estates than any other.

Such is the madness, it makes me dream of frozen sausages more then I used to. This is where they come from;

It's up there with the even-drearier-than-Gary-Jules piano version of "Mad World" on the Lloyds advert.

Ugh, I've just seen the new advert TalkTalk are running. Essentially they've decided to channel (or copy) C4's Gogglebox and basically have loads of cameras filming the highs & lows of what various "Real" Talk Talk customers are doing in their homes.

It then ends with them encouraging you to "become part of the Talk Talk family" vomit

Green Light Man - insurance ad. Whether the lights were green or red, he clearly has no intention of stopping judging by his approach speed. This is an insurer and their interest lie in cautious driving not some oik behaving as if owns the road.

Perhaps they're branching out in to cycle insurance?
