Nescafe Azera if you want a coffee to go get a fcensoredking travel mug and stop creating more waste that can't be recycled and whilst I'm at it, stop looking so smug for pouring hot water into a cup to make a scensoredt cup of coffee.

The KFC advert where the voiceover girl insists on using that jafaican accent so beloved of the youth of today. Remembered, so that I'll never put a penny in their tills again

There's an advert on the radio with Michael Owen, bleating about being injured, but as bad as that is the second part of the advert has probably the worst jingle ever. I now turn the radio off whenever it comes on, or switch stations it's so bad.

I'm not sure that's how adverts work....pretty sure all those Hollywood A listers advertising home hair dyes aren't getting a mate round to pull strands of hair though a swimming cap with holes in it on a Friday night either. wink
Skoda has a massive tie in with UK road cycling so it sort of make sense.

Most car add to be fair. One of the Insignia adds, not sure if its on still but had the insignia owned by some company director. Aye like they all chose Vauxhalls as their car of choice.

As can be seen from the photos I took during the Tour of Britain stage last week, Skodas are very popular with cycling teams as you can fit a fair few bikes on top of the car.

That Scholl advert that they used Google translate for - 'people like nothing better than putting up your legs'. Um, OK, if you say so.

The work of satan himself.
But those in the know already know how anti-bike I am anyway..... getmecoat

Oh, & I'm afraid I just couldn't bring myself to actually buy a Skoda - I could maybe stretch as far as a Seat, but persons of a certain age such as myself have too many traumatic memories of Skoda 'jokes'.....

Couldn't Wiggins & all the Tour de France/Britain/Whatever just get other nice cars with big roofs to transport their cycling paraphernalia???

All the official cars on the big tours seem to be Skoda ,due to sponsorship but some teams have used other makes.

I saw on the Tour de France ,Sky used Mondeos.

Thats something that really annoys me too-the same ad twice in a break.Sky do it a LOT on the radio
Do they pay extra for having it on twice(if so,why? People are able to remember it from 10 seconds ago) and if not , is it on twice as stations dont have enough ads to play?
I have this vague recollection from my marketing lectures that it's something to do with reinforcing the message, for example you get alot of charities doing this because you pay attention to the first and last ad more as you switch your focus back onto the tv for your program.

Alternatively I could be making crap up and it's just companies paying to ensure than when you come back from making the coffee/getting snacks you only ever see their adverts. smile

Watching The Undateables; the ad breaks have commentary/description for the blind/partially sighted, which is the best thing since sliced bread and emphasises the utter ridiculousness of adverts.
