The new Mercedes advert using "My Silver Lining" by First Aid Kit so soon after Renault used it in their Kadjar advert.

I'm so used to hearing it with a Renault on the screen my head can not compute when I see a Mercedes smile
I quite agree, astonished that they'd do another car ad with it, let alone a different manufacturer.

The Argos advert, uging us to prepare for "gifting". No doubt we do it while "making a shop". punch

And I'm glad it isn't just me who things the singer in the Tui ad is hugely underwhelming with a tiny vocal range.
Yes.
That can be added to 'can I get' a coffee.
A 'main' and a 'side'.
Things that are 'crafted' when they are simply made, with no craft involved whatsoever.
Things aren't got anymore - they are 'sourced'.
And of course we have 'In Branch' rather than At The Sodding Bank.

Just marketing cobblers. (or is that spheroids).

All high street premises being 'stores' - especially fast food joints. A store is where items are kept for future use or a warehouse. The premises in question are either shops, or offices. McDonald's is a café/restaurant with a shop function.

I've noticed Evans Halshaw using this term in their adverts too. Saying how you can get a car delivered "to your local EH store" from one of their other "UK stores". FFS they're a bloody car dealership not a store.

Just seen the new Lidl advert with a curvaceous woman who thinks Lidl wine will taste like mouthwash.
It reminds me that soon Lidl will be able to re run their Lidl turkeys advert.

Can I add one on behalf of my OH, normally so easy going she's barely distinguishable from someone having a nap?

For some reason the TUI advert with the woman singing "ain't nobody (very badly)" is sending her in to a rage.

And it seems to be on every ad break.

Apart from anything else, the fact that ad girl really can't sing is a big factor.

I've just seen it for the first time, your OH is fully justified in her rage.

Can we add ‘pre owned’ to that list? It’s 2nd hand, pre owned would be new!

Yep

Even on e bay you get rather silly types who don't understand that
New is new
New other is err complicated
Used is used (it's not new other !)
For parts non working etc is exactly what it says

I'm not sure which is worse. The c*nts in the ad, or the sound effect engine noise.

The girl on it sounds like she has a vocal problem.

How does that make money, its every ad break on every channel "Make money from things you dont use any more", does anyone actually use it ?

The X Box advert.

It's bad enough that some eejit thought it a good idea to do a hip-hop cover of King Crimson's seminal 21st Century Schizoid Man, but then to use it on an advert, and screen that advert almost every ad break.

I tried to use it about a year ago for selling 5 items, but nothing sold as people have an option to just offer an amount so you would get a notification that just says "james offered £50" not very helpful when the thing i am selling is £150. Sadly there was no "no f-ing chance" option to send back

Not once did i get any text with the offers or a single offer of over half the asking price. They all sold on facebook marketplace for within 10% of asking price so i think the people on there are just chancing it
