Gohhh Argos.

Such an irritating voice - makes me want to buy something I don't want from Amazon to spite them. How are they still in business anyway?

Yes, Argos ad is horrible. With a cr*p website and cr*p adverts, no idea how they stay in business.

Vodafone Pass romance story is just Home Counties cringe.

Not a bad advert as such but I'm struggling to see the point in it.
I'm talking about the Hoover one where they say 'who else gives you an app to look after your washing while you look after the baby?'
Huh ?
What does an app do while the washing is washing?
It's a frickin washing machine, you put washing in, press start and then take the washing out and hang it up when it's done.
Talk about creating a problem where none exists.

Argos stay in business for the same reason Primani stay in business, they are in town centres and the masses love going in for a browse.

Theya re cheap for some things, hideously expensive for others. But they are convenient.

Which is where we came in!!

you can't browse in argos... it's kind of their thing. The reason they do well is they are very cheap, and they now sell through amazon and ebay i think.

But I like that at least it is Caroline Flack attached to that voice, and she's quite nice looking and every so often, appears in the papers without any clothes on "accidentally"

Two crackers in the middle of the ManU V Basel game last night. Both looked like parodies of their genre.

One was yet another online betting company called Kwif.
The other, was like a parody Jacamo aimed at the Yoot and Bruvs.
Magnificent in it's own awful way. Can't remember the name but you'll know it if you see it. hehe

Funny, we had a lunch conversation in work about the TUI ad - everyone hates it!

I have just spoken to Mrs TD who thinks that in Oak Furniture land the reason they can do 50% off is because they double the price to start with.

The new Oral B advert. The girl in the dress who pops the toothbrush against her skin to show how gentle it can be.
I get nawwty thoughts about how that toothbrush would fair against the "little man in the canoe "

that is the absolute message though. Wouldn't it be a great way to significantly broaden the market?

"Oral B: Here, use these on your minge"

KFC are currently channelling the old Heinz Baked Beans advert with their current one teaching customers how to recreate urban beats with a KFC bucket laugh

I hate to be the one to break it to you, but if you mean the Argos ad voiceovers, that's not Caroline Flack, it's actually Miquita Oliver

I think I've just realised something today. It was on a Radio Advert but the voice is familiar. The ad was for Bisto
Anyway I think a lot of the adverts are voiced with the same woman. The one who does the McMillan Coffee morning, the charity adverts and the Bisto ads are all the same woman. I think she has an unusual name and is an actress on TV that has appeared amongst others as the mother in a family sitcom.
I will try and work out the womans name
Sue Johnson?
No I think its Zoë Wanamaker
I'm sure it's Zoe Wanamaker, but it does sound like Lynda Bellingham, were she still alive.

Anyhoo, I digress...

New advert for KFC, seen it a few times and couldn't cope till the end, only stuck it out to see what it was for to post here. Load of girls who can't sing, banging on empty KFC buckets in some pokey multipurpose youth club style hall.

Cringe worthy on every level.

The art of advertising has gone. Or advertisers are too tight to pay for anything decent, due to the way advertising no longer has any impact, paradoxically due to the sheer amount of marketing we're exposed to.

Between 9pm and 11pm I saw the dreadful Vodafone Christmas ad 5 times on 2 channels.

Hateful bilge.

The Black Friday Amazon ad annoys me too as the man who closes the door of the trailer doesn't secure it properly ,one big bump and that

door could open.

Things like that matter.
