Ed: Jump to 24:40 after the first dogfight to get the second good bit if you aren't interested in the story.

The last one is one of my all time most hated films, everything about it was terrible. Unfortunately my lad loves it so it's on all the time.

So it looks like I'll have to endure another 2 hours of pointless CGI (where the virtual camera is so close you can't actually see anything), to the endless plot holes and continuity errors, the mind numbing dialogue and the celebration of the mundane and the stupid.

Excellent!!

The last Transformers film was my film of the year.

I noticed thats an Audi badge in the first trailer - are GM no longer the 'power partner'?

I loved the original as a kid, but was expecting the new one to be rubbish. How wrong i was.

I Loved the new version, when Blackout transformed in the Desert at the beginiing and they used the original transforming sound I actually had goose bumps.

I enjoyed it so much that I believe my now ex Girlfreind lost a lot of respect for me that day - stupid bint.

Can't wait for the next one, I hear that in classic T-TM style Starscream has taken over as leader of the decepticons.

"You fail me yet again Starscream" Clasic line.

A really shoddily done alternate ending to Transformers made with voices from transformers the movie:

This and Fast and The Furious 4 are making me look forward to summer.

Seeing as there appear to be transformers fans in this thread, could someone advise me where to start a 3 years old who is into mecha? There appear to be countless Transformer universes and I am not clear where to start him, if anywhere. The clips I've watched on youtube (beast wars, original 80s transformers, etc) have been pretty dark for kiddie.

We're currently halfway through Superior Defender Gundam Force, on the recommendation of a Japanese colleague. Brilliant for kids ( http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=aQ4D7g-l3MM ).

You can. My wife got me a box set of all the episodes and The Movie. I think all I'm missing is "Arrival from Cybertron" that I had on VHS as a kid.

The new film would be a million times better if they made the noise when they transformed.

Glad the 1st one did so well, the 2nd looks like its going to give titanic a run for its money in terms of worldwide box office takings.

I am a mild fan of the original series and a dvd of the 2007 film, but that's it. Will go to see this one and switch my brain off for a few hours and enjoy the pretty sounds, colours and reminisce about my childhood.

[geek]

Are they going to stop fking around with the characters this time? The Decepticon called Barricade in the film appeared as a police car. The police car should've been an Autobot called Prowl.

And don't get me started about Bumblebee hehe
