i started watching it is well...amazing tv show and damn that english bird is hot, her voice hypnotises me...
I was well impressed with Debs english accent in one episode though! I was tempted to not bother watching season / series 3 after the 'Paris incident', just seemed too far fetched.Well, resurrected this thread as Dexter Season 6 will be upon us soon. Well, it seems it will be based 1 year on from the end of season 5, and they will be returning to Dexter of old...

Spoilers for season 5 included....
But Season 5 was by some margin my least favourite season. A former 24 producer took over as showrunner and it really did show. The intelligence, the wit and originality of the show just drained away to be replaced by cheap thrills and episode ending cliff hangers.
The last episode of season 5 was just diabolical. With the magical exhoneration of Quinn when Dexter faked the report on a drop of blood, and never mind all the other questions Quinn faced. The farce with Debra and the plastic sheet and not forgetting oh the season is over lets write our guest star out in three minutes.
Season 5 was still a good season, with highlights including Teenage wasteland, but Dexter is one of my favourite shows of all time and season 5 was barely better than all the rest really.
Hopes for season 6
They have changed the showrunner and the new guy in charge has written some good episodes.
The talk of returning Dexter to his roots. They have never since touched the heights of S1 & S2, perhaps the new guy knows what made those seasons so great.
A sense of clearing the decks after the Rita murder and now the Lumen situation is history. A chance to start afresh and stop with the cliches.

Agree entirely about season 5. It seemed to take forever for it to get going. The Quinn thing was weird. It was like they started it, then didn't know how to finish it. The Weller character was good, and would have made a better baddie, so to speak, than the 'nice boy'. It did all come to an abrupt stop, and it seemed unfinished.
