Best Grand Design by a million miles. Makes most of the others look ordinary...smile
Well yeah, compared to a castle a triple glazed prefab would look a bit ordinary.

I hope they do well, and can hang on to their castle.

I do wonder when they stick a revisit on the end of the series if there is actually a build thats should have been featured in this series which has gone seriously awry, and will pop up in the next series.

Why did they have to spend 20k on a architect?
He didn't, he is a fkin architect, and even if he wasn't, to do a project like that without the right architect is just the sort of gung ho stupidity resulting in crude ruination of old buildings that English Heritage is, rightly, there to prevent.

Clever guy, though, getting to hell out of the construction business and into running a boutique hotel. I could have murdered those sausages.

No other reason to change any of my previous views on this one, great project, and popular for obvious reasons. We would all of us like to live in a castle, don't you think?

Does that mean that she's already preggers then??
yes Triplets by 9.50.
I keep telling ya - it's not Kevin McCloud that's responsible, it's that randy bugger Phil Spencer on Relocation etc.

Again, tonight's programme (a 'revisited') and sure enough, another baby had arrived around nine months after filming the last episode...

I thought that was the figure that was spent on the English Heritage Archaeologist?

The owner was the Architect, hence why he was doing all the drawings himself?

Me and the missus didnt catch this one last series and we had a real 'oh my god' moment when the wall came down!

Turned out beautifully though, most certainly a Grand Design.

Bugger, work commitments last night and missed (and forgot to record) it. When/where is it repeated?

That guy genuinly loves that building I hope they can make ends meet and don't have to sell it. It looks a really nice place to stay too and the prices are quite reasonable.
I have a suspicion they planned it as a B&B from the beginning, especially with the layout of the rooms.
