Why the hell did Jin and Ben not go back to 1977?
Jin did, Sun didnt.
Got my Jin's and my Sun's mixed up.

Not looking forward to the whole Jack/Kate/Sawyer/Juliet thing starting up again, get on with the smoke monster stuff and less of the romantic crap.
Aye, that foursome could get messy.

And the bigger question - Kate or Juliet? Reckon Juliet, she's definitely a more attractive and approchable woman, and just seems to have the right amount of curves - Kate is just way too skinny.

As I understand it (not watching the show) Lost is one big, long highly convoluted story told over the six (thanks) seasons, right? Is that fair?

I quite fancy seeing the whole thing. It's the sort of show I like I just never got into it at the beginning and therefore have assumed that since it IS one long story I shouldn't leap in half way through...

I've been enjoying Fringe.

Total freakin' genius!

Its an excellent series, but as its another Abrams creation, its got a good chance of going the same way as Lost.

Yep, you definitely don't want to dive into Lost without watching it from the beginning.
The mid-point of Season 1 sagged a bit as they did quite a lot of background/flashbacks on all the characters, and a fair few people i know stopped watching it.

However, stick with it because the finale of Season 1 is great and unlike everybody at the time you won't have to spend 8 months thinking "what the f*** is in the hatch?!?!??!" The 'mystery' and history of the island really kicks in with Season 2, Season 3 is focussed on the island's mysterious 'other' inhabitants, Season 4......well you'll just have to watch it. wink

The current Season (5) is halfway through and the show finishes next year with Season 6.

As per previous post see Lostpedia for everything you could want to know.

I started drifting off of it last year at the end of the last season, but this current season, now the time travel has been explained has got me hooked again - but I agree, who is in what timeframe now? I like'd the touch at the end with the little boy - If you know who he is (Which the prisioner obviously does) would you try and befriend the boy or just find a way of getting him off the island - alive or not?

It's getting rather good now in my eyes...

(Trying not to spoil it for people who haven't seen it yet so not using names)

I think Ben and Sun are in the present day (2009) island. Ben, most likely because he is already on the island in 1977 as a child and surely, there cannot be two of the same person at any given time? Who knows?

As for Sun, I've no idea smile

Favourite TV show since it started - and I'm a total tele addict!

only show I've ever seen wherby you want to watch the next episode straight away (most times!)

has it's faults, but still no 1 in my list of stuff to watch..

Jack, Sawyer, Kate, Juliet, Jin, Hurley, Faraday, Miles, Sayid = 1977 with the Dharma initiative

Sun, Frank, Ben, Locke and the Ajira survivors = Sometime 1977-2009. The 'barracks' are deserted so its probably the 'present', but there are Dharma signs up that weren't there during the 'Others' tenure (possibly a production mistake?) The runway was there on Hydra island though, so it must be after Kate and Sawyer were forced to work on it in Season 3 (which was set in 2004.) I think its been deliberately left vague so we don't know if Sun and co can hook up with the rest or not.

Rose and Bernard = anybody's guess!

I stopped watching ages ago, mainly when Virgin had their falling out with Sky. Never got round to downloading it thus never got back into it. It looks very confusing when you see the trailers!
