Just watched Mum and dad, and whilst not really a gore fest, or a horror, it was certainly a creepy film!

Watched 'The Orphan' last night - well worth a look. Not particularly 'scary' but quite a good story and a little twist at the end.

P.s. if you are thinking about adoption sometime in the future...... give it a miss yikes

I went to the cinema last year with a mate of mine. We'd seen trailers for The Unborn on TV and thought that it looked pretty cool ...... She found out that she was pregnant during the preceeding week, however the penny only really dropped that this wasn't the best film for her after the film had got going hehe

+1 for Event Horizon. My missus was put off at first because she doesn't like Sci-Fi, but by halfway through she was riveted.

The Descent is a good one aswell.

The Spanish film "The Orphanage" (El orfanato) is pretty good. I don't scare easily but my OH does and he thought it was scary.

Another thumbs-up for REC - the OH screamed at the end of that hehe

one of my favourite Carpenter films, very under rated IMO. Quite creepy and the tension builds nicley throughout

Watch 'The Road'

Not a horror film but it's a scary thought living in a world like that.

Not quite Horror, but I watched 'Irreversible' the other week, and that has 2 pretty horrific scenes in. One of them is possibly the most horrific I've seen on film.
