Well after everyone in my local repeating every line and laughing hysterically just thinking about the Inbetweeeners I have decided to give it another try and watched the second series.

Well the PH King of Comedy (TM) judgment is that The Inbetweeeeners is the most predictable comedy ever made. And almost completely unfunny.

I laughed twice at the entire second series, the episode were they were volunteering at the old peoples home was particularly painful to watch.

"Oh no I have no pubes, look a wig"
"lets have sex"
"Don't touch my cock"
"Oh dear you have a wig down your pants!!!!"

Really?!?!

The annoying thing is that the premise is quite good and it could be really funny if executed better but the story is predictable, the acting rubbish, the dialogue unbeleiveble and the attention to detail poor.... Nobody can have a conversation without shouting in a nightclub.

The Inbetweeeeeners = Very Poor.

Not just you, it's the funniest thing I've seen in years, it's exactly like school was when I was there and Will and Jay are hilarious.

Maybe I've just seen to much comedy that is actually good. If I had been raised on a diet of My Hero, The Green Green Grass and Goodnight Sweetheart I might find it funny.

Compare it to something like 'Peep Show' 'The Big Bang Theory' 'It's Alway Sunny in Philadelphia' 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' 'et 'al and it is very poor.

And before you all start, I'll laugh at anything that is funny, I have no prejudice when it comes to comedy and went in with a completely open mind.

Funny? Unless you were raised on a diet of Eric & Ernie, Dave Allen and Tommy Copper you wouldn't know funny if it bit you on the arse biggrin

I thought it was brilliant and so do all my pals who have seen it, yeah the actings not all that but you can relate to the situations that they are in.

You really are in the minority if you thought it was rubbish, roll on season 3

Yes I would, how do you know I'm not a big fan of the above? Maybe growing up living with my Grandparents I have been able to see comedy greats from way before my time.

Personally I believe that Tommy Cooper is/was a genius and one of the funniest people who ever lived. Eric and Ernie are a little hit and miss for me. Dads Army, Porridge, Citizen Smith and Rising Damp are all well before my time but I love them.

So take your assumptions and take a look at your own comedy prejudice.

I was about to call you a tit and say you had no taste till this post.

So I'll just say you're wrong about The Inbetweeners.

Now I'm confused because if the legendary 'hater of everything' Xitup likes it then.... well.... The world has gone mad!

I thought Inbetweeners was pant-wettingly hilarious smile

Out of the ones you've mentioned I'd only heard of Peep Show which i thought was average at best.

Each to his own I suppose smile

Well I reckon OP has a point, some bits of it are a bit puerile, but then schoolboys are,
but I have been watching it so it can't be that bad.

'Will' and that head of year teacher seem to be at odds
but the mention of Will's mum being a porn-star, the other kid's Dad being in the closet, and this bit...

and quite a few bits like that, seem to work for me

You must have had the most boring school life if you can't relate to any of this.

I never said I couldn't relate to it, it just said that the Inbetweeeeeeners wasn't funny.

Many of the less stupid bits were like situations that happened to us at school, unfortuantely they were badly written, acted and executed which meant they weren't funny.

Now go back, read the OP preoperly and don't mis-quote me.
