yes phoenix' - 'Too Young' in particular.

The Sigur Ros tunes in Vanilla Sky.

My favourite moment is in A Life Less Ordinary when Robert is digging his own grave and Celine is running to him, with REM - Leave pounding in the background cloud9 Just Perfect.

Most of the music in Mulholland Drive is 'just right' too.

The cook the theif the wife and his lover 'memorial' by Michael Nyman awsome. I drive like a loon if i have this on in the car it builds and so does my speed.

This give a little bit of an idea

But the best has to be philip Glass 'Prophecies' and 'pruit igo'which is in Watchmen. Abolutely fits in perfect with whats happenin in the movie at teh time.

both bits you can hear a bit of in the trailer

So you have, good tatse you have sir.

And I also notice somebody has mentioned the acid jaz from dirty harry. IMO the music made the film.

I think the Lalo Schifrin incidental music from a scene in Dirty Harry, where the killer is on the roof, is great, especially from about 3.15 onwards. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmLG3uJrjNY&fea...
Top choice I prefer the music right at the begining where dirty harry goes uo to the roof of the sky scraper.

This is the original

It was part of a film of mostly aerial shots of various landscapes, and this was to cover an Urban sort of feel

You are both right. The best piece of music from the best scene in the best film ever made. An utterly engaging highlight which, whenever I happen to catch it on TV I simply cannot turn away.

Lisa Gerrard's voice gives me goosebumps, and the Gladiator soundtrack was arguably some of Hans Zimmer's best work.
