To mirror the 'who would keep from the existing lineup' thread, who do you think would add sufficient kudos to a show which the BBC could continue to market as th UK's premier motoring entertainment show?

Maybe their personality, their motoring knowledge, their general ability to present well?

There's often confusion in other threads as to which face owns which name; so to help you:

Jonny Smith - Motoring journalist and TV presenter.

Suzi Perry - motor sports correspondent and TV presenter

Tom Ford - motoring journalist and TV presenter

Vicki Butler-Henderson - former racing driver and television presenter

Sabine Schmidt - former professional motor racing driver for BMW and TV personality (no more Berlin to Warsaw jokes!)

Jason Plato - BTCC racing driver and TV presenter

Tiff Needell - former racing driver and television presenter

Honest John - motor trader and motoring journalist

Steve Sutcliffe - Motoring journalist and road tester; editor-at-large of Autocar

VBH, Suzi or Sabine. Probably in that order. Most of the rest are either just irritating or wouldn't bring anything worthwhile to the show.

My vote would be for Chris Harris too.

His 'Chris on Camera' bits for Autocar were great, and he's free from DR now, so perfect timing... wink

I voted for Sabine. I think that she is the only one that would fit with the current "entertainment" program format and the presenters, and she can handle herself at the wheel. I could not stand VBH giggling and screaming her way through another test.

As for the others, Tiff, Jason and co, I think they have proved their worth on other shows that I no longer watch. If I want reviews, they are on the web. If I want entertainment with a motoring flavour, I am ok with Top Gear, although they are stretching my patience lately with some of the daft, over-long sets they do. Advertisements indeed!

Suzi got my vote, she is excellent on the Gadget show and is very natural on the MotoGp grid with the riders too

Alan Carr, Johnathan Ross or Russel Brand would be great, as they are universally loved.

Judging by the sexual chemistry with Clarkson, I'd say Will Young.
