Alan Carr, Johnathan Ross or Russel Brand would be great, as they are universally loved.
not by me, I would say universally loathed.............Alan Carr slightly less so rolleyes
If I was in a lift with those three and had a gun with two bullets, I'd shoot Alan Carr twice. Then beat him with the handle.

Suzi Perry without a doubt, especially if she was replacing Hammond.

I don't think RH hasn't help his street cred fronting that stupid programme on a Saturday afternoon, watched it for ten minutes and that was enough.

I know it's aimed at kids but it's still a crap programme

Jonny Smith. I'm sure he is a star of the future, although I don't think he'd suit TG at least in it's current form - the balance of the presenters is spot on at the moment.

I miss Tiff actually. But then again some jugs would be a welcome addition. and I'm not talking about Jezza's moobs.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was a 'stand in' Stig when they can't get the regular Stig

I quite like Ed China who's on Wheeler Dealers. I reckon he could be a good addition to the Top Gear team, maybe with a slot on second hand cars.

Steve Coogan, but he'd have to do it as Alan Partridge.

Reviewing the Japanese Mercedes...A-Ha

I voted for VBH, Tiff seems a bit odd these days. Jay Leno should just pack in the talkshow and host it wink

Sabine would have got my vote on driving ability alone (honest guv) but... I think Suzi could give clarkson a good run for his money on the banter front as well as being very asthetically appealing.lick

Think it would have to be hammond that would go,

From that list i recon that Tom Ford could fit in well, as would Suzi Perry.

Top Gear doesn't realy need a racer like Tiff or Plato as they already have the Stigg.

I like the Ed China idea mentioned by someone else there too!

Out of that lot, Perry, Tiff or Plato would be my choices, but they are the best of a bad bunch - dont think they are that suited to top gear in its current form. Tiff is a bit dull and geeky, but that what i want top gear to go back to - more cars, less stupid stuff. Plato can be a bit smug, but i quite like his reviews. Perry i wouldn't immediatley reccomend, but she is good on the gadget show and good at the MotoGP, so why not?

Tom Ford is a tool, Jonny Smith is irritating and whoever said VBH would just scream and giggle her way through everything - nail on head. She sounds like she eats a packet of superkings before every feature. Sabine - no, just no. She isn't hot mmmkay? Added to the fact she has no understanding of humour it would be cringeworthy "Zat is not captain slow! He has lost 20 keeeeelos!"

Good shout... definitely +1 on that.

If Hammond left, then he would slot straight in with Clarkson and May, plus it will be interesting to see his take on supercars being that he's had a few of them! (Everything vs the Macca F1!)

Also, I reckon Jay Kay would be a decent host, he can work the audience, loves his cars and is pretty tasty behind the wheel...
