All I noted was "Trial in 9 months time"
Probably a Google search may turn up a result if it has now taken place (I don't know when the programme was filmed).
Very good and interesting programme though, that bit were the firewall wouldn't let them e-mail the CPS was fking ridiculous though.

Confessed in prison whilst awaiting trial, however then killed himself so escaped justice. Not the best result really.
Oh I don't know. It certainly saved the taxpayer a good deal of money. Prison cells should have bare walls, a bed and a length of rope in them. Nothing else.

The Policeman giving a piggy-back to the sniffer dog in the Halal shop was the funniest thing I've seeb in ages.
I did find that amusing... the fact he carried it because of religious reasons, the fact that it was a butchers didn't seem to mean anything What an amazing show though, gripping TV, more like this please C4

Oh I don't know. It certainly saved the taxpayer a good deal of money. If he had gone to trial he would have got a comfortable human rights protected life in jail and would have been out in 10-15 years and been free by middle age.
At least he has suffered the same fate as his victim. Also being a Muslim he has comitted a major sin by killing himself and if he was a believing muslim would have expected to go to hell and disgrace his family.
(FYI I'm not religious but I worked with a Muslim guy and even as a 'light' believer he considered suicide as a major shame and sin)
Excellent programme. Although I do have a few questions:
Would he have be found guilty in court? Most of the evidence seemed circumstantial.
Would the "admission" to his cell mate have been admissible in court?
He seemed to stitch himself up in the interview. If he had said nothing in his interviews would be have walked free?
Carrying the dog through the shop was indeed a laugh out loud moment.

Was anyone else making mental notes whilst watching this?
1) If burning something, steal the petrol from a car as otherwise it can be traced back to the petrol station
2) When disposing of a body in a suitcase, check for cameras, carry the suitcase with two hands and look like you're struggling, each way.
3) destroy any notes you've made where you slag your victim off repeatedly
etc, etc
I did get the feeling he may have done it before though, if it wasn't for the CCTV of him with the suitcase he'd probably have walked

I watched this too and not surprised there is a post about it as i too thought that it was great.
It would be nice if that when criminals (murderers) are bang to rights and 100% certain they have committed the crime then they too should be exterminated - why should they have a life (no matter how horrid) if they have stopped another from having one.
The dog carrying police man was great - can somebody post a pic of it up so we can have a caption competition?
I'm 36 and I turned around to my wife whilst watching this and commented that it was mad seeing the main investigating officer (the one with the side burns) looking about the same age as me - thats a sign that I'm getting old I guess.
What stuck out for me in the program was that Vauxhall would not co-operate the Police with their enquires about the paint etc for the cavalier - I was like no way - that's very bad PR for Vauxhall.
Looking forward to next week's episode which looks like its about a rape case.
You know the type, the ones who scream "NO!, fking get off me you bd" and scratch at your face when really they mean yes.
I buy the comic known as The News Of The World every sunday - JUST for the TV guide in the magazine as usually what they recommend is quite good - but it was an epic fail on their part not to mention this in their recommended section.

I started watching thinking i would give it 10 mins, but was engrossed throughout.
I don't believe Mr Haque escaped justice at all, he died in prison! If i was related to the victim, i would be satisfied with the outcome.
Carrying the dog through the shop had me chuckling too.. I guess it was an intended dig at these little religious idiosyncrasies
9/10 for me!

Found that somewhat shocking too.If it was me I'd have been like "I don't think you understand, I said I'm from the police, we're investigating a murder case, you will co-operate"

I bet they're kicking themselves over that one. Could they have not ordered them to co-operate? Obstructing them from doing their job or whatever?

I was expecting the detective to start threatening Vauxhall with obstruction. Perplexed that they didn't.If it was me I'd have been like "I don't think you understand, I said I'm from the police, we're investigating a murder case, you will co-operate"
