I had this on DVD for ages but never got round to watching it until a few weeks ago. I thought it was a great film and very much in the 24 mould (which I mean as a good thing.)

One of most satisfying scenes in any film I reckon - if you let yourself be drawn in by the story up to that point, you're sat there, thinking, "Go on. Go on. Do it! Yessssss!" smile

The scene I'm talking about? Without giving too much away... "Nails."
Agree completely smile

Was much better than I expected it to be.

It's a good film apart from the girls running technique.

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.

I watched it with no prior knowledge (or expectations) of the film and I thought it was great.

Also a couple of minutes with a V10 S8 in an action sequence was nice.

Hmm..I thought it was st. But then I have to admit that I find the recent James Bond films unwatchable too.

Watched it tonight. Great fun, highly improbable plot but who cares. Plenty of gratuitous violence, some unexpected - "policemans wife".

Think they stole that one from Jack Bauer, but I agree it was a good fun film. I especially liked the ruthless efficiency with which he dispatched the two bad guys in the first fight.

It's silly. Very silly, when you think about it too hard. But enjoyable. Park your brain in neutral and enjoy!

+1

I watched it last night and it was OK for 90 minutes of daft action-escapism.

I'm surprised no ones mentioned the product placement by Audi?

Top of the range A3 Sportback (glass roof) from a rental agency? I think not, admittedly I can't imagine the pitch, we need a car for a scene where our hero goes to hang around albanian street prostitutes, and then we need a hero car when chases after an Arab sex traffickers boat. Nice A8 top the line, nice alloys again.

With the A3, hire car companies do tend to have 'premium brand' cars these days as part of their fleet, so its not that inaccurate.

The Audi product placement wasn't very heavy at all, all they got was a few minutes at most, its nothing compared to some films like The Transporter 2 or I,Robot where the entire films could be mistaken for Audi adverts.

Film in product placement shocker!!!!! biggrin

A great turn off and enjoy fun film. Not gonna win any oscars or suchlike but that's not the point.

Whatever they do, they must NOT make "Taken 2" as we all know it WILL be complete st...
