the Big Big Bang Theory is typical American shlock for what passes as comedy stateside. What is most annoying is the canned laughter......but then the Americans are easily amused. Nothing can compare to quality British such "yes Minister" and more currentl "QI". How anyone claiming to be British can find mindless drivel like The BBT funny is beyond me.Is it any wonder Britain has gone down the toilet if this is the judgement of even a small segment of its' citizens.

Seriously... you are coming on to a thread about TBBT just to bait the followers?

If you had the sense of humour you are suggesting you have, then you would be able to see the funny aspects of TBBT, since you can't and can only criticise it, then I do pity you and your narrow mindedness as it must be such a boring world you live in.

I have a great British sense of humour but this show simply isn't funny to anyone with an IQ greater than that of the average tree stump.

Fail.

Every episode is filmed in front of a live audience. The laughter is genuine, not canned.

But in true PH style, NEVER let facts get in the way of a poorly thought out rant.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Also, are you suggesting that they use canned laughter? Really?

No what Mr CB is saying is this... If I don't get the humour and dont think its funny, then everyone else who does is stupid compared to my intellect.

In the mean time he has a really good cool story bro on his profile.

Plus if he is that much more intelligent from us dullards I would like to know how he came across the following rare cars:

AC Jaguar XJ8
AC Mazda RX8 Manual

I always though AC made cobras and the like, but hey what do I know Im a thickie...

Actually if you can comprehend what you read you said I have an IQ less than that of a tree stump, yet I'm not the one that thinks a Jag and a mazda are made by AC...

Its called thinking before you type cause you obviously aint perfect dear boy.

If you had come on here and said that you don't get the humour as it doesn't appeal to you, can someone explain why its funny, you would have got a response.

Instead you come on and attack it with unfound criticism and then call the fans stupid.

Now you attempt some type of british/yorkshire quip with the fox hunting quote... that doesn't work and makes you look stupid.

Can you see now were you went wrong?

Or do I need to draw it with crayons for you?

Behave.

'QI' is one of the dullest shows on TV; utterly, utterly predictable. Not even the brilliant Stephen Fry can save it.

Thinking about it, how many genuinely good comedies has the UK produced in the last ten years? I can only think of 'The Thick Of It' and 'Black Books' that really stand out...and arguably 'The Office' (although seems over-hyped to me)

On the other hand, the USA has produced 'The Big Bang Theory', 'Community', 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia', 'Modern Family', 'Arrested Development', 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', 'South Park' and probably a good few others I've forgotten. Granted they've produced some dross (Two and a Half Men, anyone?) but then the UK has BBC 3 - an entire channel dedicated to dross.

Same goes for drama. We produce yet another costume drama and the odd decent one off like 'Sherlock'. USA produces 'The Wire', 'Breaking Bad', 'The Walking Dead', 'The Sopranos', 'Dexter' and 'Oz'.

As sad as it may be to admit, USA television is now way, way ahead of our home-grown offerings. Watch a couple of those dramas I've mentioned above and then see if you're still prepared to waste 30 minutes on 'QI' each week...

It's not canned laughter, it is the real thing from a real audience.
