Another crappy episode. I think they're using the SImpsons lazy method of just lobbing in a guest star to obscure extremely poor writing

Pretty much a rule in any series: when the celebrity guests arrive, it's past its best.

Simpsons - good example.

When I have both on series link Young Sheldon gets watched first. Great writing. TBBT is utter dross these days. Doesn’t even have eye candy anymore. Could they make penny look any more frumpy?

Agreed, its just not funny anymore and we know all the characters so well that they don't seem odd, quirky or funny. Still, Penny is still hot and Berandette.... wink

Young Sheldon's dad is Jimmy Speckerman, Leonard's high school bully in TBBT
I knew I'd seen him in something!
And don't forget that Zoe Perry, who plays his mum, is the daughter of Laurie Metcalf, who plays her in TBBT.
Took me ages to suss out that Sheldon's Grandmother (Mee-Maw) is the receptionist from the original Ghostbusters films (Janice)!

Big Bang Mee-Maw or Young Sheldon Mee-Maw?

(Never seen Ghostbusters. I do have some standards.)

Not sure why but I haven't been watching many of these recently, sort of gone off it I guess.

Just watched the Bill Gates episode and now I remember why I haven't been watching, just dreadful. A show clearly now just going through the motions and having to rely on a laugh track to emphasise when it's funny.

I know it's a cliche but it's like it's turning into Happy Days and all it needs is shark boat and some water skis for Sheldon.

yes, it's poor, and when compared to the golden period, it's ste, but I wanna see it through the grim, rancid, end so I can settle.

Can't believe Brooklyn Nine Nine is canned but shows like Big Bang and Rick and Morty are renewed for long runs. Bizarre.

JUst watched the ep with the brother,it was ok, by current standards, pretty good. When they use a face as a decent character it can maintain a level of quality, as opposed to just chucking in a face for a very weak spot.
