TBBT Final Half-Series plot.
1st Ep opens to a blubbing Howard Clutching his two children after hearing the news that Bernadette had been killed in a Car accident. Leonard, Raj and Sheldon arrive to try to console their friend - Sheldon makes a quip about Bernadette still being alive if only Howard hasn't pressurised her into becoming the Suburban Housewife and Mother he so dearly wanted to replace his own dead mother [canned laughter] after all, she would have been 85% more likely to be involved in an accident due to her lack of sleep and general tiredness from being both Mom and Career Woman [canned laughter].
Howard and the other finally accept that Sheldon doesn't say things like that because he's 'on the spectrum' but in fact he's a Narcissistic Sociopath who, over the last 15 years or so has worked tirelessly to crush their confidence and careers in order to feed his own.
Howard in a fit of rage and grief slashes at Sheldon with a kitchen knife but only manages to wound Raj who was trying to keep them apart.
Sheldon accepting his 'friends' now see who he truly is leaves immediately to make sure Amy only gets to hear his version of events because he knows without someone to feed on he'll wither and die. [knock knock, Amy, knock knock Amy, knock knock Amy] [canned laughter] Amy answers the door to Sheldon “Sheldon, you know you live here now, you don’t have to knock” [Sheldon makes that face when he knows it’s true but he wants the other person to believe he’s a slave to low-level OCD] [canned laughter] “When I was in Sunday School the Pastor told us that honestly was the best policy and the truth will set you free, but the truth just made Howard stab Raj” [canned laughter]
Amy, in shock, is fed a story about Howard losing his mind and stabbing Raj for holding a candle for Howard’s Dead wife. Amy in shock at all that just unfolded before breaks down, Sheldon makes a big effort to seem awkward comforting her with a hug, but is smiling behind her back – she’s now his to feed off forever.
Meanwhile Leonard calls for an Ambulance for a now gravely unwell Raj. Raj and Howard explain to the Paramedics that Raj ‘tripped’ into the counter and stabbed himself [canned laughter] before they arrive at the ER – Token minority actress acts in a stereotypical manor “Fill in the form” “but I’m dying” “FILL IN THE FORM” [canned laughter] Leonard holds Raj’s hand has he’s wheeled into Surgery and sits alone in the waiting room waiting for Penny to join them.
Ep2 – ‘Previously on….’ Back to Howard’s house, Howard is cleaning up Raj’s blood, when in walks Bernadette’s Ex-Homicide Detective Dad “It’s isn't what it looks like” [canned Laughter]. “Howard, I know we've never really seen eye-to-eye, but I'm sorry this is happening, I wish it wasn't, I've grown to think of you as the Son I never wanted” [canned laughter] “I'm just here to pick up a few things for Bernadette, she didn't want to see you before she went and didn't have time to grab everything” Howard looks quizzically – what do you mean he laughs, Bernadette is dead!? Ha ha [canned laughter] Mike looks at Howard, he looks at the Blood and back at Howard. Howard starts to mouth “noooo” but it’s too Late, Mike has pulled his Pistol and caught Howie in the right temple with a single .45 shot spraying his brain over the kitchen. Mike looks at the puddle of oozing brain matter pouring from Howard’s twitching corpse “you might have been a genius, but it looks the same as all the others to me” [canned laughter].
It seems that whilst Sheldon’s line about Bernie dying because of her dual role of Mother and Career Woman was only said in malice, he was actually correct – Bernadette crashed as she was driving too fast though tears as she’s decided to leave Howard, the Kids and Pasadena to get her old life as a single, happy scientist again. Mike says “oops, not again” [canned laughter] the scene closes with Mike carrying Howard’s corpse into his car, laying his pistol to his side and setting the car alight. Back at Howard’s house – Mike’s wife is talking to the babies in High Chairs as she mops up Howard and Raj’s blood. As Mike walks in she says “Mike, I’d wish you’d give me more notice before you decide to fake another murder – I had Bridge tonight!”. [canned laughter]. They type a suicide note on Howard’s Laptop.
Meanwhile… Leonard and Penny have been waiting hours for news on Raj, the hours tick away as a small procession of Doctors and Nurses pass, but can’t give them any news, most don’t even know who Raj is. After a while the lights go out Leonard “great, a powercut, did you feel a tremor?” Penny “Leonard, the Earth hasn't moved for me for years” [canned laughter] Leonard “Well, at least he’ll fell at home” [canned laughter]. The head back to reception but it’s dark and locked – they turn around to find Colonel Richard’s stood behind them. “It’s okay now we've got him”. Flashback a few hours an Sheldon, looking to tie-up loose ends is on the phone to the Colonel, telling him about a Muslim that was taking too much notice of their Guidance System tried to attack Howard with a knife, until Sheldon stopped him. Flash-forward a few days and a gravely ill Raj is at Gitmo screaming “I'm a Hindu, and I never even saw the Guidance system!!” CIA Spook “So, you DO know about the secrete guidance system!” Raj “Did I say Guidance System, I mean I love America device!!” but it’s too late, the hood is on and the water pouring [canned laughter].
Ep3 2 weeks later and the Colonel is talking with ‘the Brass’ on the phone “yes, Suicide General” “yes Sir, just hours after he was attacked by the Late Terrorist Rajesh Koothrappali” “No sir, I don’t believe it” “the short one and the girl? They've been incentivised, they won’t talk”. Flash forward to The FBI raiding Bernadette’s Parents house, they find evidence to link Mike to Howard death and several other supposed Suicides and disappearances spanning 30 years. Mike and his Wife are cornered in the parking lot of a local gas station. They try to surrender but a lone FBI Agent opens fire – in the Grand Tradition of US law enforcement the rest of the FBI and Police officers open fire as “he must have seen a justification” later it shown that it was actually Colonel Richards to fired first dressed in FBI ‘tactical’ wear to under orders to plug any more leaks from the Guidance System project. [canned laughter].
Fast Forward 3 months. Leonard and Penny are back at their now empty apartment, Howard and Bernie are dead, the babies in care of the State. Raj is ‘missing’. Amy, now completely under Sheldon’s control has moved with him to CERN. It doesn’t take long for them to realise that without constant company from their friends and neighbours to keep them occupied they don’t actually have anything in common and don’t really like each other (the clues have been there for the last few series, they only seem to bicker) they fight verbally before Penny says something mindless about Nebraska – flash forward to a bruised and bleeding Leonard laying on the floor weeping. [canned laughter].
Ep4 – forward another Month and a recovered and happy looking Sheldon is stood in his Lab, “goggles” the screen shifts to Stewart who slides on a pair of X-Men Cyclops glasses “goggles” [canned laughter] Stewart “Hey Leonard, thanks for inviting me, things haven’t been great since I lost my home… and my store… and most of my friends [canned laughter] and heeeey, thanks for letting me use your shower [canned laughter] Leonard “that’s a decontamination shower” [canned laughter] with that Leonard flips the switch and a bright red laser shoots across the bench, into a series of mirrors and finally onto a dirty spoon containing a large slug of Afghan Black Tar Heroin [canned laughter].
Meanwhile – Penny is b
hing about Leonard to her boss, he’s waiting to get a word in – exasperated he shouts, “You’re fired!” “What?!” Without Bernie there to scare him, her Boss can finally tell her she’s a terrible Rep “Really, did you think you could walk into a $100k a year job from the Cheese Cake factory and be good at it? – that doesn't happen in real life?” “You were only hear to keep Bernadette happy, she made us so much money, paying you was a good investment”. [canned laugher].Ep5 fast forward 2 years. We see from the back Penny sat at grand dressing room table surrounded by lights, but it’s not on a Movie set, she’s applying make-up to cover a black eye, a black eye given to her by her Sugar Daddy Husband, fired from the drug company, turned away from the Cheese Cake Factory and a 15 year non-career in Acting behind her and failing looks she turned to an older Rich guy to keep her in shoes. The Divorce was tricky, but once they found him Leonard signed the papers for a few hundred dollars and that was it. Now she spends the evenings being shown off as a trophy wife and occasionally shared around when he needs to make a deal with one of his friends. He hates her as much as she hates him (hence the black eye) but they’re stuck in a mutual hostage situation of a marriage [canned laughter]
Meanwhile, under a bridge downtown Leonard and Stewart share a needle. Leonard was fired from the university for getting high in work and for allocating resources to a project that ‘didn’t exist’.
The final scene if of Kripke sodomising Leonard for $20 “Hey Leonard, I'm not even into this, I just want you to suffer” [canned laughter].
So the comedy programme becomes a horror and virtually everyone ends up dead?
More likely to end like friends or how I met your mother with people moving on in their careers and lives and moving away with everyone having one last meal at the Cheesecake Factory or the like and maybe someone realising that someone from the past is their ideal partner

In fairness Leonard and Stewart aren’t dead, they might live for 3/4 years on the street and Raj’a death is off-screen, he could come back. It was obviously (I thought) not serious... but if you do watch an episode from the last couple of series without the laughter track, it’s pretty dark and unfunny at times.
