Carr has been good so far.
Yep, he's had to come up with some new material which makes a nice change (I like the guy but he certainly does a lot of material recycling).

I'm disappointed by Brooker's VTs. He's repeating - word for word - sections of his Guardian column over the last few weeks. Typically those sections that got a particularly good reaction in the comments on his articles.

Mitchell put in a very good performance in this I thought. Good ad-libs and not at all phased by live TV.

All in all, not a bad live show by Ch4 standards.

I was a bit dissappointed with it as a whole. The trouble was that it needed to be on as all the results were coming in. Carr and Mitchell were good. Laverne was...typical. Brooker seems only able to work from a script, which is unfortunate as he could have been brilliant. I just kept on expecting it to really start anytime. And then it ended.

Yeah, he can't seem to deliver his acidic wit on the fly. He should just stick to his Screen/News/Gameswipe TV stuff IMO.

In the event, I got through my first weeny link without a hitch. But moments before doing my second link, much later in the night, something completely unexpected happened. I did a piss.

Only a little one – a mere eighth of a teaspoon at most – but nevertheless: I did a piss. Not backstage either, but right there on the set, nanoseconds before I was due to start speaking. Fortunately, I was wearing black trousers and sitting down so I got away with it, but inside my head it was pure nuclear war. You see, by that point I'd largely managed to convince myself that the nervous energy I was experiencing was actually just excitement in disguise. The micropiddle was my body's way of reminding me that, even if my head deluded itself, the rest of me was still petrified.

That explains a lot.

He is always odd whenever he does any tv work with Victoria Coren. There is a massive amount of sexual tension around them. Me and the wife reckon that they have knocked boots a few times.

I was disgusted with myself for reading a guardian article.
