I am looking for an old black and white film. Can't remember much aboot it, but it has a good ending in a courtroom.
It's English, the ending is a lady in the dock allowed to make her defence and she has a speech aboot justice, which I think moves the court, barrister, crowd etc. I remember it as a good speech.
I keep thinking of V McKenna but it is not her I think. I would say it is a 50s film. Cannot remember much more.

British or American?

What about "Witness for the Prosecution"?

ta but it is definitely British. Quite a stiff upper lip film, I keep thinking of The Fallen Idol with Ralph Richardson. It is in that sort of vein. I can't remember if the woman on charge is guilty or innocent of the crime though...but her speech makes everyone rethink.
