C'etait un Rendezvous
Eight minutes and 38 seconds of pure driving film.
Gone off that as it turns out it was just a Merc jumping some lights with a redub. Eight minutes and 38 seconds of pure driving film.

Just watched it now. Seeing that clip again last night made me dig out the VHS and watch it! ChuckieEgg said:
What about Ronin (not really a driving film but got a good couple of car chases in it) or American Graffiti?
I saw the new Death Race a few weeks ago. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be but not what I'd call a good film.
The reason why the car chases in Ronin were so good is that both films were directed by the same directorI saw the new Death Race a few weeks ago. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be but not what I'd call a good film.
If you're interested in cars in fims there was a good book written a few years ago on the subject.

'Duel' is a good one with Speilberg over working the viewers imagination as always.
Great film, and an even greater demonstration of how average 1970's American cars really weren't keen on corners. Then again, Dennis Weaver almost deserved a pasting for driving on those roads at 40mph Weslake-Monza said:
So the chase in Fear is the Key is dated but what about the jump onto the floating bridge (do the sills touch the floor after the jump?)
