No, people that talk through a good show piss me off. It pisses me off even more when they are discussing the show!

The only time I would talk through a show would be if it was just some boring repeat which everyone had seen.

The missus sometimes talks to me about something when we are watching tv and then when she has finished will then ask me what just happened as she missed it - "I don't know I was listening to you, do you want me to listen or ignore you when you talk to me?" usually results in a frosty silence that allows me to enjoy the rest.

Why wouldn't you talk? It would be very odd having a group of people sitting Zombie like in front of the TV.
Movies on the other hand..

If it's something I want to watch then no. If it's something the gf wants to watch then yes.

Mrs slopes does this ONLY during something i want to watch, and despite repeated polite hints, she has yet to learn to be quiet. Mind you, if i were to even dare do it during emmerdale, then she goes off on one, so much so, that on occasions i have left the house to avoid getting shouted at. Funny how when her folks come to stay, i have to be quiet during anything they want to watch, but the minute something comes on that i want to watch, theres 3 of the fkers gasbagging
there are aspects of this that are horribly familiar frown

I talk constantly, but I live alone, so it's not normal.
