Childish nonsense - mostly.

I've read some of his books and he makes half decent points - but on the whole, he argues points like a five year old.

He's going for the 'anti-capitalism' dollar .. which is a bit contradictory i suppose ..

bowling still is one of the best ever docu's made...
Except it was as much of a documentary as Top Gear is.

As a docu, not great and as a film OK but got a tad boring in places.

The bit about the judge and private jail was the highlight and if accurate only goes to highlight why public services should not be privatised.

Mmm i wonder if he made this film for free biggrin
I doubt it, a quick google turned this up:

"Moore himself is one of these ultra-wealthy few, with a net worth exceeding $50 million. On November 1, 2005, World Net Daily reported that the anti-capitalist Moore -- who had proudly declared "I don’t own a single share of stock!" -- in fact owned tens of thousands of shares in U.S. stocks. Most notably, Moore owned more than 2,000 shares in Halliburton -- the gas and oil company he excoriated in his film Fahrenheit 9/11."

Looks like the chap who wrote that book and Moore have something in commonbiggrin

I missed this, I was quite looking forward to this.

I have never thought of Michael Moore's films to be documentaries, more a political spin film.

But usually good fun, incredibly well edited, and will usually ensure I go off and check up on sources and facts.

This is plussed and waiting for me as soon as I finish Man on Firebiggrin

Docu? WTF! Utter garbage, full of holes and untruths. He's made a career out of misrepresenting issues.

But he's done it well, going by the number of folks who believe his pish!

ETA: Just google 'debunking Michael Moore' and see what comes up...

the fact that he does this type of thing should be applauded imho.

the doc about the US health industry was shocking and non-sensationalist and human.

so he owns a few shares and is worth a few quid, I suspect he financed alot of the projects himself and has made enough to keep going.

I like him. He does mix his opinions with his facts sometimes but don't we all?

a thorn in the side of the establishment at present and I hope he doesn't temper himself too much
