Awful, You know she's not down the beech but in Peckam somewhere, no she's not she's up north somewhere.

Doesn't mater, she's foul. She's 5.5 " tall, English "glamour girls" are the ugliest in the world.

Good first book, OK second and third book and ongoing series of increasingly boring political essays ruined, perhaps?

Does it ever finish? I lost the will to carry on after seven or eight of them.

Most likely

Sci-Fi - too geeky
SyFy - hip & cool

It's what happens when you let marketing run the company.
Definitely even more likely:

Sci-Fi - incredibly difficult or impossible to protect through trade marking as it is a generic name for a genre and would run into difficulties from claims from others as well

SyFy - much easier to trade mark and protect

Finishes at 12,I know what you mean about turning into a political essays about the evils of Communism , not sure whether that was to keep the American market hooked though. At least the final book ties the whole thing up.

I kinda liked it.

It's been cancelled now, though.
