Sunday 8th August 3.50 pm they show "Live and let die".

Sat 14th August 1.45 pm they show "Live and let die".

So, same film in less than a week, is there really nothing else they can show.

Yes I know its the weekend so I should be out, however the misses is ill in bed with kidney infection so im resigned to playing nurse, so thought id watch a film. Thought this week might be " the spy who loved me" not the same bloody one I watched only 6 days ago..

What a bunch of useless tts they must be at ITV.

Since I started using sky plus a few years ago I notice this a lot. Films tend to get repeated sometimes in consecutive weeks, seen ITV/Five and C4 all do it.

Asda/George are selling your favourite cheesey action movies for less than £5 iirc. Go buy something with Steven Seagal/Dolph Lundgren in it and turn your brain off for a couple of hours.

Itv has gone from a good channel to watch a wide selection of good tv on, to a reality channel where everything is 090 numbers and sponsored by.....something bks,if I could delete itv from my planner it would be gone.

I maybe on my own here but I used to watch londons burning religiously until itv cut the budget and killed it off was always in the top ten on the weekly ratings... I loved that show...

Was L A L D the itv heavy edit edition..no deodorant flame-thrower.

A friend of mine works for ITV and told me the reason they repeat so many films is cost.

Once they pay for the rights of a film they can show it as many times as they like for no extra charge for 14days. Hence lots of repeats though usually they at least swap it over to ITV2. In the the case of Live and Let die they aren't even trying to hide their tightness.

ITV is awful. Their football coverage is awful, their news coverage is ridiculous and over dramatic and my personel favourite/pet hate is the editing. We were watching the Matrix Revoutions last night and without fail every single advert break was inserted slap bang in the middle of a piece of dialoge, how hard is it to put an advert break into a film?

They had to do something to make the film worth watching wink

I always believed the ITV news channel was the best of the rolling news channels and it was a shame they got rid of it as I thought Sky News was way too OTT and BBC just read out press releases and asked how people felt about it.

I've just checked my recording schedule and there's nothing from ITV there, but there are some little gems on the extra ITV channels (Dollhouse on ITV4 for example).

And yes, The Man with the Golden Gun is on next Saturday, but on Sunday it's the first X-Factor.

Pah, it's possible to have ITV play the same film 2-3 nights running but an hour or so later/earlier each night....

ITV is terrible, they must think that everyone is tucked up in bed from midnight onwards and therefore they can fill their schedule with those stty gameshows or QVC. Q-V-fkING-C!!! On a Saturday night no less. Is it asking too much for a decent late night movie? And I don't mean a dirty movie, just some form of entertainment, it's the fking weekend, I don't have to get up, I enjoy late nights.

That they turn into a fking shopping channel from midnight onwards just takes the piss. It's like they've become one of those cheapo channels from Cable / Sky.

It's very very rare that I watch anything at all on ITV, period!

That said I am looking forward to Lucy Verasamy's move to do the weather soon...

They also used to do...

World of Sport
Armchair Thriller (the opening sequence used to scare me witless)
Tales of the Unexpected
Crown Court

Their local news budget seems to have disappeared and where I used to live (Somerset), they have just one region now showing news from Bristol / Bath right down to Cornwall. Why they think someone from Truro would be interested in what is happening in Avonmouth beats me... scratchchin
