It's not too bad in a simple but "complex" kind of way, could have been a lot worse but it's fairly easy to watch.
Second series is out in November apparently so interested to see how they progress the storyline
P.S I was a fan of the original too, both are equally good in their own way

Another fan of both versions here. Season 1 was a bit slow in places and some of the acting and CGI was appalling, but as said, it speeds up and improves towards the end of the season.
Anna really is a whole other level of horrible
(It also helps that her daughter is amazingly hot and gets her kit off at least once).

At least the CGI is better than the hilariously bad monster models they had back in the original series. Remember when the baby was born? I thought it was terrible back at the time, I'd hate to think how bad it would look if I watched it now.Hopefully they'll do a whole lizard reveal at some point.
I'm confused now. V Series 1 was on in the UK earlier this year. Not sure which channel, maybe Syfy?
I quite enjoyed it (especially Anna's daughter in her space uniform!). So is all the hype on Channel1 about Series 1 again?
It throws me when the different channels hype "New series" when it's just new to them...

Heads up, it is starting next Monday at 10pm........
Stateside, I assume? I'll be heading straight over to the usual places first thing on tuesday morning then .... along with getting my weekly fix of "The Event" (which is shaping up to be quite intriguing).Jasandjules said:

It clearly started out with a fairly big budget, which was then slashed as the CGI gets noticeably worse after the first few episodes.
Same as the first time round then. I watched all the originals last year. Is it as confusing and hilarious as last time where half the cast are suddenly missing and they keep reusing special effects from the pilot?Matt_N said:
Who watched it last night then?
I didn't but may watch it on catch up if people think its worth a go?

I thought it was well worth it. I can't wait to see how it gets on (if you saw the 80s series then it seems to me like they are making similarities with characters etc BUT are also making cool changes).....
