I hope he is.

It would be a crying shame to throw away such a perfect ending (finding his 'peace' in the place he was happiest) only to resurrect him and attempt to come up with a continuing story arc.

However, Jesse is ripe - the one person who can make the blue stuff,, and the one person who perhaps suffered most because of it.

A 'survival' story where his identity is discovered, and everyone is out to get his knowledge, twitter various factions fighting each other in the race could be done very well - with the ending perhaps being Jesse becoming the top of the pile, or for those who like things a little darker, a suicide which takes out all the kingpins of the different gangs, destroying the knowledge forever (as much as that's real in the BB world - after all, chemistry is chemistry...).

If you didn't watch it, True Detective is the only thing that is in the same league (along with Fargo). Comes out on DVD monday.

IMDB give Breaking Bad 9.6 and True Detective 9.4... Pretty much on the money I think. TD is much slower, but ep 4 onwards it's a riot.

I loved BB but TD is even better! Amazing!

I liked Fargo at first but it's a bit daft really.

Happy Valley is excellent though! Thoroughly recommend

I found this too on the second viewing. It's the ambiguity of Walt being the 'hero' while doing dreadful things to those around him that makes it compelling I think. Unlike most series which spell everything out It's not obvious where sympathies should lie and forces you to think about it.
I don't think it was ambiguous at all. You can empathize with Walt the whole way through his descent into murder and mayhem - but like Walt it just depends how far you're prepared to go. I think one of the main joys of the series has been watching with a kind of masochistic glee as Walt does whatever he wants to people who get in his way, his family and his business - doing what many of us sometimes dream about doing in wistful moments - then we return to cold reality. The series takes the viewer on a ride that sometimes you question, but it's not ambiguous.

Walt ant Tony Soprano are both of the same ilk. You shouldn't like them but you do.

yes to an extent , Walt only supplied what would be supplied anyway he mainly only hurt scumbags although some innocents got it and the reason he started in the first place was admirable

Same with Vic Mackey in The Shield.

The man was a monster but I always wanted him to come through it all unscathed.
