It was bad enough when he used to ruin wheeler dealers, now he's going to a war zone to tell us all about machines used over there. Not one for me, unless i watch it with the volume off, for me his voice is like nails on a blackboard *shudder*

Don't forget he is on the Chinook that comes under fire, the pilot is shot in the head but still manages to fly on and land safely.

Watch it for that alone.

Very interesting program IMO mike did a good job (for once) although he did look like he was stting it when the chinnock had contact.

I watched this and found it really good, at first I thought it was bit of a rip off of Ross Kemp in afganistan but was pleasantly surprised. Mike did st himself at one point 'I think I'll just get back in the armored vehicle' lol.

Just watched and thought it was good as well. First time I've not seen Mike doing his cheeky chappie from sarf london thing. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

I actually thought it as good, I do watch a bit of wheeler dealers and MB is a bit of an annoying twonk in that, but I must say after watching him in the chinook Ive got a lot more respect for him. The guy looked truley terrified and out of his depth, yet was still managing to do commentary to the camera.. non of the faux bravado of ross kemp, just a normal bloke in an war zone telling it like he felt it. when it hit him after the landed it really hit him..

how the heck they came up with the idea to put him out there and what he was on when he agreed to it i've no idea hehe

yes Just what I ws thinking! Fair play to him, he got shot at, st himself, and still gave a commentary. He's gone right up in my view, but I always liked him anyway, he's a personality and good fun to watch.

He's cheaper to insure than Natasha Kaplinsky, who was the favoured option to be shot at.
