I'm a big fan of Tarrantino, so I'm gonna have to say the car chase in Deathproof. Although, Ronin is a great chase and slightly (ahem) more realistic.

Transporter 3. A8 vs. E-Class.

It's slammed the A8 right to the top of my automotive "to do" list. biggrin

Ronin

Most of the best car chase sequences seem to happen in Paris

Less a chase and more a race, but the original 1976 Gumball Rally sequence in the Los Angeles river is probably the best ever.

Although the sequence at the beginning of The Cannonball Run, where the Pontiac Police car chases the Countach is utter genius.

I like the part in one of the Taxi films where he is held up by a full on rally car.

That film is one of the reasons I quite want a 406, despte it's rubbishiness.

Or go for a 406 coupe; still one of the best looking mid range cars...

The chase scene from Ronin with the 406 apparently steered by a Le Mans driver with De Niro at the helm grasping a dummy wheel and showing real signs of bricking it.

Does the Rendez-Vous count?
If not the start of the cannonball run, or the start to the Italian job.
