I just think the whole think was handled in a particularly insensitive way!
Per BBC article, "Parenting website Mumsnet was flooded with complaints over the current storyline, prompting it to write a letter to the BBC suggesting that "as is all too common, a bereaved mother has been portrayed as deranged and unhinged"."
From what little I've seen of Mumsnet (basically just the thread where they laughed about hitting cars and driving off), they know a thing or two about being deranged and unhinged.
