The battle to save Britains fattest man
Discussion
Got me thinking. Two things:
1) Why do people on whom these uber-fatties are dependent keep on feeding them? What good is it doing?
2) If they stopped eating, literally stopped, and only drunk water, would this do them any harm in the short term?
On the basis they're too fat to make it to the fridge what's to lose?

I heard i while ago , i scientist, did a experiment with a servearly obbese person; and only gave them water, no food what so ever, for 1 year 1 month.1) Why do people on whom these uber-fatties are dependent keep on feeding them? What good is it doing?

The scientist also said that the average person could also survive without food - only water- for two months.
Genuinly can not longer remember where i got that from though...
Btw, what made you ask? Is there a program on it at the momment or something?

If you dropped them from the top of the Post Office tower how wide would they splash?
How on earth would you get them up there on the basis that:i) stairs are out (clearly)
ii) lift won't take that weight
iii) no crane is tall enough
?
the diet room...
bloaters are put into an airtight room.
there is exersize equipment fitted with dynamos wired into an air supply fan.
they have to exersize to get air and there is a battery pack that they have to charge up to get air while they sleep.
webcams in the rooms will provide funding via a pay per view channel.

I'm assuming you are talking about that programme on the other night about the fattest man on the planet? While watching it, I said the exact same thing, ie why on earth are the people looking after them feeding them curries, pizzas, cheeseburgers etc. It beggars belief. Those people are aiding and abetting!!1) Why do people on whom these uber-fatties are dependent keep on feeding them? What good is it doing?

If over-eating is a mental disorder does that mean it'll be put into the same class as anorexia, bi polar, manic depression etc?
We dont just say "fk em, natural selection init" to the latter few groups do we?
nice stereotyping there 'init'? We dont just say "fk em, natural selection init" to the latter few groups do we?
expecting people to take greater responsibility for their actions doesn't mean being heartless either. it's about where you draw the line.

Minor point, but you'll find those two are the same thing.Over-eating in itself isn't a mental disorder as far as I'm aware, but it can be a factor in others and would seem to fit in the category of eating disorders, along with anorexia and bulimia, which themselves can present alone or as part of a cluster of symptoms of another mood or personality disorder.
So yes, there should be counselling, therapy, surgery and treatment for such people, in an effort to understand the condition, root causes so it can be identified, forestalled and managed at an early age.
Or just cull them obviously
