Saw an episode of this last night. Never really watched Ice Road Truckers, but in this three of their top drivers have gone to drive from Dheli up the Mountains to a Damn project in the mountains of the Himalayas. It reminded me of the hairy moments from Top Gear's Columbia special with those narrow passes and near instant death experiences.

They are driving wooden (!) TATA trucks loaded with concrete and it is compelling viewing.

Highly recommended. It's on history channel quite frequently.

Saw the first two episodes then the series link went AWOL.

Those local drivers, well I'll never complain about downtown Brummagen again, though it might explain a few things, they are seriously dangerous.

Seems you really have to be assertive, but wtf was that guy who packed up doing, first collision wasn't totally his fault as I think the stopped vehicle passenger / driver just opened their door into his truck. But the guy who came out of a sideroad, it was easy to see what would happen, although maybe there was somebody on his immediate right preventing evasive aaction, but no brakes / nothing.

What a ste country though.
