New series. Jeremy Clarkson subjects the Skoda Yeti to a thorough examination, while Richard Hammond charts the evolution of the Porsche 911 by pitting the current Turbo cabriolet against its oldest relative - and the power of gravity.
James May takes the Ariel Atom V8 for a spin on the test track, another celebrity gets behind the wheel of the Reasonably Priced Car and the Cool Wall returns to start yet more arguments in the studio.

So scripted these days it's rubbish, I much preferred it when they would compare 6k hatchbacks and none of this track rubbish or scripted races. I'll still watch it though so I can complain on here and hope the BBC change one of there their most succesful programs worldwide.
Don't bother posting your moans on here, all the complaints are getting really boring, always the same the same scripted comments, I think I will stop reading this thread Shinobi said:

Indeed.I think we should write to What Car magazine and suggest that they make a TV programme of their magazine as I'm sure more people would watch that.
Not only is Top Gear "scripted", I've found out a few other things about the show which I find absolutely outrageous.
According to a mate of mine who's in the industry and knows about these things, not only do the use "scripts" but they also they film it using "cameras". Also, they add all the music after they've filmed stuff! Why can't they play the songs at the time they're filming, stopping and starting them in the cuts? It would be so much better.
Worst than that and this one almost made me tear up my TV licence: they change the order of the shots before the show goes on air by "editing" them!

Also apparently those Ken block Videos on Topgear are actually not just one run and the slow motion bits are actually slowed down. What rubbish, I feel robbed.According to a mate of mine who's in the industry and knows about these things, not only do the use "scripts" but they also they film it using "cameras". To all the "oh-so-clever-and-humerous" people above who think they are "cool" for saying "It's scripted" over and over. You just look pathetic. I bet you are the type of people that laugh boreishly at jokes from Christmas Crackers. (What do you call a man with a car on his head?) To quote someone (no idea who) Comedy should be either original or clever. The above is neither
Moreover. You miss the point.
1) Yes they have a loose script to work to. Great, They always have. But the scripts these days are not as good as the scipts from a few years back.
2) No one ACTUALY wants to see a Head Gasket Change or the dimensions of a boot on a hatchback. But the problem is when TG just repeat a lot of their ideas over and over. (Fiesta and Twingo Tests being one that was brilliant the first time and ste the second. Any number of £X challenges) People LONG for something different. And sometimes that desire for difference gets misinterpreted as an attack and ALL the TG fan boys/girls feel the need to be ridiculous. Much as I hated the electric car they made. At least it was different. Albeit the same "May is an over complicated tech, Clarkson is useless etc"
3) Seriously? Another series of SIARPC? No one likes it. It's universally the most unliked section on every forum I see. And don't give us the nonsense about "it's an entertainment show" Whilst I agree, I don't see Guests on other light entertainment from the BBC. And TG COULD drop it if they wanted to. They can when it's the Road trip specials.
